Josh, the drawing of the second round of the KNVB cup just finished. And there are quite some amateur clubs which have drawn against profesional clubs at home. Would be awsome if you could visit one. It has the potential to be a legendary evening for said amature club. Its not uncommon amateurs knock out proffesionals in the Netherlands. I also think it would be standing out uniquely among your usual content. The games are: Noordwijk vs. Willem II Katwijk vs. FC Twente ASWH vs. Heerenveen Quick Boys vs. Fortuna Sittard Hope you could do could make it to one of these 🙏🏻

With Quick Boys, Katwijk and Rijnsburgse Boys from the same municipality it is almost certain they will play on separate days (tuesday, wednesday and thurday). Massive opportunity to go to three games in a row that are within a few kilometers from eachother indeed!

Definitely! A 'Avondje NAC' ('Evening to NAC) is really something widely known. The club has one of the greatest atmospheres, and the people are known to sing a lot throughout the matches.

As a Fortuna fan, I'd say "Not great" is generous. Our stadium is a concrete tub with somd colouring. But it does it's job and that's all we need. Bufkes, Beer and football.

Based on the game between Willem 2 and Twente last weekend, I'd strongly recommend going to Willem 2. For sure one of the few times the home end outsung our away end for most of the game.

A stadium that has the capacity of a full town it's located in, sounds absurd. So I needed to quickly check the number of people living in Heerenveen. It seems it is about 52,000 currently. Still few compared to the capacity of the stadium, but a bit less insane :).

I figured PEC Zwolle was going to be in 'not great', so pleasantly surprised with the 'okay'. it's definitely not a good looking stadium, but quite some of it is build with an outlook on practicality (which is so Dutch tbh)

I generally agree with your ranking, visited all stadiums. I would change Ajax and Sparta to very good and RKC to tinpot. For me the best stadiums in the Eredivisie are Feyenoord, PSV and Go Ahead Eagles. I am very interested in how you rank NAC and Willem II. I would rank NAC at least very good, perhaps insane, and Willem II as okay.
