Haha this is great and unexpected! Young people still eat that squid all the time in Korea. When you go to the cinema it's normal to eat squid too... it's like your 2 options are popcorn or squid! After living here for almost 2 years, I'm still not that into squid. But I can eat the blood sausage "soondae" I think that's what Diane gave them? These days they are made with potato noodles inside, so when Grace was asking if it's rice, it was probably the potato noodles she was referring to.

the blood sausages used to be made in pig intestines but they have artificial casing like the modern american sausages. also the stuff inside IS NOT mushed up meat, they're rice noodles and other stuff like that!
