Honestly you should do all types of cards not just gold and also pick a number before u search 1-10 and whichever u pick it’s the one you have to use make it more interesting tbh

I think you should be able to search for gold rares there’s enough bad ones for it to still be a risk but then you don’t have to end up with a bunch of commons

I wouldn’t recommend spending them all I do it every year and regret it but I would spend some like up to half of them try you luck and worst case get some fodder in your club and then save the rest for other promos or evos that come out
