What issues have you had with your personal vehicles
@huwfish3 ай бұрын
I have owned a 130 since April and have had very few issues with the length. It is tight for 8 to sit for any distance but short trips are easy. You used the wrong lever to tilt the second row forward. The one you used is to fold the seat for loading. The lever on the top outer edge of the middle row seat back tilts the seat back forward as well as allowing the whole seat to slide forward. This gives more space to access the rear. I have used the car to tow my 2500kg caravan across Europe without any issue and it swallows stuff into its cavernous boot with one arm tied behind its back. It really is a car for everything just like the disco 3/4.
@itsjoel3 ай бұрын
@@huwfish glad you’re enjoying the 130! I agree, the length really wasn’t an issue at all, especially once you’re behind the wheel. I’ll look out for the correct lever next time!

Dunno defender has some CONs. Full size wheel on back makes it tough to park in a garage mine is under the car out of the way. The tail gate i like on the LR4 defender missing it 110 cargo space is my biggest gripe. Just not enough when compared to LR. I thought I was going to keep my 110 for a very long time, but I will be upgrading to a 130 when it comes out. 2300 miles into Baja with 2 adults and 3 kids was challenging. Couldn't have done it without my Overland Pros Anza 2000 where all 5 of us slept and left sleeping gear up top. I really hope the 130 gives us the extra room in back without looking frumpy. Utility, interior, much prefer the Defender. Great mix of form and function, rugged materials. The shelf holds of ton of stuff while overlanding. Interior cleans easily from dust and overall just works. My wife prefers her L322 range rover as it is definitely more luxurious eventhough it is 10 years older.

The whole Defender range is brilliant Something to suit so many requirements Such a huge breadth of capability With the diesel engine, the economy is fantastic I don’t think there are many genuine 7, or 8 seater SUV type vehicles, that still have big boot space, when all seats r in usage… If u r doing a road trip, and using the 3 Rd row for passengers, then fit it with a roof top box, for luggage etc.. A great vehicle for overlanding etc, because with row 3 folded down, or removed, u have massive cargo room.

JLR's entire range of vehicles of ticking time bombs in terms of engine reliability and a host of other electronic problems. I have owned 5 LRs and will never buy another one.
@petehelme77143 ай бұрын
the Discovery (5) makes more sense for people that don't actually "overland." it is more comfortable inside, has a better ride, gets better MPG, has better storage for its total length (when including the tire), "kick" to open liftgate and it doesn't have that (annoying) rear swing door. arguably the Defender style appears to more people though, I get that. though the Defender 130 to me looks like a school bus. :) rumors are that the Disco5 will be replaced by something in the future that's more MPV than SUV. I'm thinking along the lines of the Mercedes-Benz R-Class or Lucid Gravity.
