Electric launch is always nuts. Combustion engines and exhausts over whining DC motors anyday of the week.

Another vote for you to get a L322 4.4tdv8. I'm 8 months into ownership of a 2012 4.4TDV8 Westminster, and apart from a ride height sensor which was cheap to fix DIY, it's been superb. Every journey seems special in this.

I would enjoy some Range Rover content....but I would stick with the Porsche if you want a good night's sleep 😂

@@itsjoel I think they get under your skin. In my 4 years of ownership it's been good to me, just a starter motor which I fixed myself for free. Regular servicing and relatively low miles, but it's been a gem. My other car is an old 996 and tbh the two cars together are just my dream 2 car garage. Comfort and luxury for big trips in the L322, then a fun little manual toy in the 996 for weekends, heaven!

I had a 955 3.2 for 7 years. Bought it with 50k and sold at 140k towed a caravan around Europe and three times skiing in the alps. Loved it and never let me down. Yes I probably over serviced it but never went wrong. Brakes every year at £500 per axle and expensive tires but it’s going to cost that.

It is entirely legal to pass the lane hoggers on the inside rather than doing a long winded overtake. So long as you don't then pass in to the lane in front of them afterwards then it is entirely legal and fine.
@ungrim973 күн бұрын
I think that this video (and others like it) fail to try and work out why people lane hog. Its normally 1 of 4 things: 1. They want to pass the car in front and think that they have to overtake but the next lane over isn't free. Getting a whole lane to move over in this scenario (as is the case in yoru video) is just not a viable expectation unless you make passing on the inside more obviously allowed. If the 6 cars to your right were doing as you were and passing on the inside then it would not exacerbate the issue of the single driver ahead doing 60 whilst passing a lorry. 2. They are doing 70 according to their speedometer and thus don't see any harm, to them your undertake at 70 is speeding and your the idiot. Most speedometers are ~1% out in either direction so just because yours says 70 doesn't mean theirs doesn't also 3. Constant junctions/Lorries. A lot of people keep left to allow for lane merging after junctions or because they want to get out into the 2/3rd lane whilst they can before a lorry. They are usually being overly cautious and don't want to get caught stuck because they can't then move over. Ironically these are the people causing their own problem in so much that they can't pull over because people are hogging the lane. Even in your clip you are passing a junction, and barely traveling faster than those around you, 4. Impatience. Some people just can't be bothered weaving back and forth between lorries/slower traffic. They plan to do 80+ and are usually the kind of person that will flash you for doing only 70 whilst overtaking. Most of these people don't really see what they are doing as a problem (either because they don't think it is, or because your the problem for being in their way). Honestly for my money I think more lane hogging would be solved by making people more aware that they can pass on the inside on a motorway so long as they then don't change lanes infront of the vehicle they just passed.

Joel, I'd keep the Cayenne. As you say, it has proven to be reliable and not overtly expensive over the last 12,000 miles. I know that it isn't good for your channel views, but you need a car that you can basically rely on 100% - you have it there. Mess about (pardon the pun) with the Maserati or whatever follows that. Good viewing and good for shouting down some of the naysayers.

There is a saying my dad said who was in the motor-trade 50 odd years. People who complain shout the loudest. Meaning the people who are happy with there cars, you don’t hear about. So most of the comments you see on forums are negative.

@caliwator3 күн бұрын
I've had a couple of cayennes and also a v10 touareg(basically the same car). They have nice quality mostly. But i've found quality is lacking in some areas. they usually get water inside because of blocked water outlets. And that leads to a lot of electrical problems. Air suspension is a pain sometimes when it starts to act up. Auto valve body can fail, front differential can fail.. interior plastic is not very high quality, V8s can have cylinder scoring and lots lots more that happens with these cars. I think you got a bit lucky with this one. They are great cars when they run :)
@dwayneharris47873 күн бұрын
I took what I thought was lame clickbait, but your review and comments about it being disappointing that you can't really push the car as fast as it can because it has so much more power , nand you know it can give much more before you lose your licence or kill yourself and others is a great analysis. This will make a lot of people like myself stay dreaming about a base model 911 which is more than enough.
