As an Instacart shopper, the best way to get people to pick better produce and other items is to make sure you rate them accordingly! We don’t like poor ratings and trust me, it’ll fix the lack of care 😂 I also Instacart for my own groceries a lot so I can see both sides. I shop for others like I shop for myself!

I’m an Instacart shopper and we’re timed on each grocery trip so maybe that’s why you see them rushing. I shop for my own groceries all the time so I know how to pick the good stuff but I agree that some people just pick the first thing they see. Communication is key though. We have the opportunity to message or call the customer.

The Friends issue is very true before they had their last show all 6 was together in an interview. In the beginning they talked about how they all from the start of the show all had different salaries. They noticed it caused friction so in 2002 all 6 sat down together and made an agreement they went to the heads of NBC when it was time to renegotiate their contracts and demanded that ALL 6 be paid the same amount per episode or they would all not continue with the show. It was the first time ever in history that castmates stood in unison together. Such a good damn show I miss it and still watch the reruns in 2021 lol

I have watched yall’s videos since I was in my early high school years..I am 25 now. I remember the condo, pre JB days, pre daily vlog days, etc ❤️ I hate to say that i honestly only watch yalls vlogs every few weeks now- but not because I don’t want to or am not interested, but you know..life? ❤️ I feel like you all are my family! Every time I watch, I am in awe at how grown and intelligent, sweet, and just full of life the girls are! I am in awe at how much you and Benji have grown as well. Also as a side note, I remember MANY moons ago Benji recreated a recipe by Laura Vitale..and I have since watched her as well. I have used many recipes from both Laura and Benji over the years! My husband is not into food or cooking, but he is an expert fruit and veg picker. It's why he refuses to use online grocery shopping... He knows they won't pick the good stuff. It drives me nuts sometimes when we shop together though, especially these days when you want to get in and out of stores.

I always leave a note for the produce saying “please no bad or mushy ones” something along the lines of looking out for bad ones and it really helps! I know instacart allows you to leave a note for each item.

As a consumer who shops on instacart quite often, most of my shoppers have been so good with picking out amazing produce. I even had a man who shopped for me and he didn't pick up something because he said all the fruits in the carton looked like they were mushy and gross. He even sent me a picture! 99% of the time I get amazing shoppers. Maybe it's a Canadian thing :D haha!

As a former Instacart shopper, the goal is to get in and out the store as quickly as possible. Not only to make as much of an income as possible in a day, but the Instacart app even has a timer set as you shop! So please cut them a little slack Judy.

Instacart shoppers are charged extra for every item, so I think it is but fair that they get the quality of the item they ordered so long it is reasonable. Like if I ordered a bag of apples, I don't expect the shopper to make sure every single apple in the bag is free from bruising, but at the minimum I expect him or her to at least do a visual.

Sorry but that’s really just laziness. I can get all my shopping done in 15 minutes and still choose quality fruit. You don’t need to stand there for more than a minute to pick good apples. I’ve personally never had a problem with any of my Instacart orders in regards to the fruit and veggies being bad. So if they don’t care to pick good fruit that’s just laziness not time restraints in my opinion 🤷🏻‍♀️

Hey, Judy! Even though you run the sweeper frequently, allergens can still get trapped between carpet fibers. I'm seeing an allergist and that's one of the first things he mentioned. He also suggested checking the air quality in our home.

brussel sprouts are really good when you cut them in half, toss them with olive oil, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and parmesan (and bacon if you eat meat) and roast them in the oven at 400 degrees until dry looking on top. so yummy.

Judy, I am an Instacart shopper. I would recommend definitely putting notes for your shopper if you're looking for something specific. Most shoppers don't replace items or like to refund as the total cost effect their tip amount. Most of what we make is base on tips, but it sounds like you've been unfortunate to have shoppers who don't check in with you. I usually ask my customers if they would like to substitute items if the produce they are looking for doesn't look good. Also, when you rate your shopper, if it is below five stars, it effects their overall rating to see decent batches in the future, so I would recommend being cautious while rating as this does effect people's livelihoods. My friend works for instacart and there is a time limit of how long you can take to pick the groceries, pay and drive. For places like costco, when there is a lot of people lining up, it can really limit the amount of time you have to grab everything.

I work as a personal shopper at my grocery store and we had a lesson on how to pick produce. I don't know how it works for other grocery stores, but we have customers that put in custom notes about their produce and other items.

I work in retail so I can’t say it’s the same as grocery stores but I work on the online orders whether is pick up in store or being shipped to them or the store near them but for my job and probably most if not all we get timed on picking the orders and for the pick up in store we get like 50 mins max for each other now depending on how big the store is, or how big the order is, or where each item is, and lastly we get many orders from different people many people with also some items we cannot find and have to wait for an supervisor to either look for us or tell us to cancel it

You could try using an air purifier inside your home to get rid of allergens. I used to have very bad allergies and it really helps (along with a non inflammatory diet)

I work for Amazon flex and I deliver for whole foods. The whole foods employees basically have a certain time frame to pick all your groceries, bagged and labeled and ready for pick up,then delivered by Amazon flex. They are basically told the more you do the better and your at top of list for a bonus. Our whole foods have the freshes produce though.
