Maybe treading beetroot puree...that might work better...I saw a recipe with that somewhere

My instinct would also be to use beetroot, but maybe I‘d use the liquid from cooking them blended with a bit of beets instead of water? Maybe I need to try…

I did try this and the outside of the bread turned red-ish pink while the inside was pink-ish orange. The bread was definitely colourful but not quite pink.
