Ice Cube was on Joe Rogan and said he made his son take acting classes for 2 years before he auditioned for this part. He said OShea went to the audition and was pissed that there were 18 or so people auditioning so he went in there and killed it and the person who cast him called and said 100% out of everyone he was by far the absolute best so I think it is awesome he made him do that himself 🙏🥰

Who would’ve thought that five guys from Compton would create something so raw and powerful that it would inspire others to step up to the mic? Eazy-E wasn’t able to live a full life, but at least he was able to marry Tomica before he left. There’s a sense of beauty in that. Life is short, but we can still make something beautiful out of it. 20:54 this is another moment that really broke me. I cried watching Corey Hawkins’ portrayal of Dr. Dre mourning the loss of his brother. Seeing him surrounded by his crew was a very powerful moment. There was still a strong sense of brotherhood amongst his friends, and he didn’t have to mourn the loss alone. Shoutout to both you and Mellverse. He’s the only other reactor I know who was seen this film. I hope you guys check out other biopics in the long run.

They made Eazy look soft and Dre like a superhero. I know Leo that you've reacted to Real Muthaphucking G's so it doesn't come as a shock, that the whole beef wasn't even mentioned. Many scenes especially including Eazy was just false for example- the scene where E gets beaten by Suge never happened and many ppl has stated that nobody could have touched Eazy because E had almost every compton crip behind him. -There is no way Dre could just punch some Blood and walk out of there.. Come on. -and the scene where eazy cries after seeing dre poster is just straight bullshit. Eazy made money from Dre's The Chronic album because he was legally still with Eazy, E made like 25 or 50cents a copy for The Chronic album. And what's funny about that, is that in Chronic album Dre made a diss about Eazy called "Dre Day" and Eazy was getting paid for it. Eazy E's reply to that diss is called "Real muthaphuckin G's" where is a line "Dre day only meant Eazy pay day". Eazy never had to downgrade his house or anything like that, he had platinum selling artists like Bone Thugs N' Harmony, he was in a good spot. And ofc they didn't show the Dre and Eazy beef because most of us know how that went, and Dre was making this movie and many people close to E say that they did E dirty and i'm not disagreeing. Eazy was a real one and a very smart businessman and an OG. R.I.P The Godfather of Gangsta Rap- Eazy E

I didnt see soft. But I guess I was more focused on the impossibility of being born into such a flawed portion of society. To uprise a change and to have the mind set not to behave as expectedly. To turn away from drugs jail or worse. I believe that the government had something to do with Eazys death. Ive always thought that since way back then. And I think of him this way if he had lived can you imagine the accomplishments he would've made by now. He may have been a asshole, but the man had compassion, humanity, and he understood business . How things worked he wasnt supposed to die so young. And no body died so fast from AIDS. That in itself was odd.

Moved to LA in ‘91. In Hawthorne, not far from Compton. I know where all these locations are. Watched this movie at the Crenshaw Plaza theater years later, back when I lived in Leimert Park, where BLM was founded. A lot of scenes from this movie were filmed in my neighborhood. Lived next door to, played dominoes every day with, sold weed every day to a former Blood gang member who’d just been released from prison for beating up a guy at the Popeye’s Chicken on the corner of Western and MLK. There were a dozen dispensaries within a mile of my house. Good times…good times… RIP Lance. You were a real one. One less reason to go back. What a different world I live in now, in rural Oregon, though.

I wasn't familiar with any of their music, but I was a fan of Snoop Dog's and Eminem, which were both brought up by Dre. This movie is fun. NWA wasnt able to get back together and write new music, as Blink just did that very thing after Mark almost dying, and is on tour with Tom right now. Also, Cube wrote most of N.W.A's songs, at least their biggest hits, he was the lyricist, thats why him leaving was such a big thing and a big mistake on N.W.A's part to diss Cube

My sister fn loves nwa and easy e (easy was her favorite by far).. so we went and saw this in the theater.. we loved it.. but funny story she busted out singing Boyz n hood in front of our awesome African American coworkers and they were just shocked that this little white chick could bust it out lol. She was in high school at the height of the awesome rap game the early 90s.. she knows what's up! Snoop was my first favorite rapper! I think I was 13 when gin and juice came out.

9:15 lol thats Compton court house sweetie not PD. everyone gets released when your court case goes there, Leo we understand you like most were born after our time. I am NWA age so I was givin the privilege of watching these boys grow knowing exactly how they evolved. Only thing I was not aware of TPD was responsibility for song FTP but you can bet I sent a edible arrangements to the Torrance Police Department thanking them for catapulting their careers into rich and famous. And its nice knowing that those evil bastards aren't even around anymore majority have been killed, fired, or working a less paying desk job at a different county or state forcing relocation.

I was wondering if you'd consider watching Surviving Compton? It's from Michel'les point of view. They left her out of the movie appearance wise but her name was mentioned and I did like the movie as well.🙏🏾

This movie was spot on. Ice Cube and dr dre made sure they looked good and their reputations was protected haha this movie was good though. Whats sad about it is nothing has changed as far as police brutality over the years. But other than that this was a great film.

Man... I remember sneaking peeks into rap magazines to keep up with these guys as a little girl 😅 I wasn't "allowed" to listen to them so of course I had every album! 😂 They were CRAZY!

I like they didnt go over the top of Jerry being the evil manager. It still comes off he cared about Easy, it's not never that clearly if he was ripping easy off or just taking more than normal. or could be wrong
