"Mamma Mia" was first a stage play. Much later it was produced as a movie with a part two. The songs in the movie were part of the plot of the movie with characters singing the songs as a musical. I experienced ABBA songs for the first time on the radio and in studio albums. Other pop songs like "Take A Chance on Me" "Mamma Mia" "Waterloo" "Gimmie, Gimmie, Gimmie" "Angeleyes" Thoughtful type songs: "Move On" "The Eagle" "I Wonder" (This is on the "Mamma Mia 2" soundtrack but does not appear in the movie.) Thanx for doing some ABBA.It's been a long time since your last Abba reaction so i guess you obviously couldn't remember our commenting that they are actually a supergroup consisted of 2 married Swedish couples 2 guys songwritters/producers and 2 women leadsingers.This song was both no1 as a single and as part of their album in 1978.Album was no1 for 7 weeks,Their estimated record sales bring them second best selling band only topped by The Beatles..In the UK they have their 'Gold Greatest hits" album being the 2nd best selling LP ever there (after Queen's "Greatest hits" ) and they still hold the record for the album with the most weeks of chart residency ever (1184 weeks).It's still in the UK top 20 now,after being at the number 1 in 3 different years.1992 in 1999 and again 2008.

ABBA is a Swedish group and since I am also Swedish, I want to correct the names, they are called Agnetha, Björn, Benny, Anni-Frid but many in the USA and also in other countries had difficulty pronouncing the names of the women in the group, so Agnetha was called Anna and Anni-Frid was called Frida.

Beatles are over a billion 2025.. but remember that record sales was not counted in the 70 ts.. after going back and counting and putting that sales into real sales.. ABBA was a good band they were from Sweden I think I need to check they learned to sing English listening to old American rock and roll songs another great song they did an all time classic WATERLOO check that one out. Also there is a group from Holland called the ANALOUGES these guys do an entire Beatles album in concert they know no other English but doing Beatles classic from 1966-1970 check them out too
