For those who rushed and finished the game don’t worry he’s still there if u can’t find him in that lava pit after killing the beast, then head back to the location where u beat radahn and Alexander will be there. Exhaust his dialogue and then head back to the lava pit. Head to the grace of when u killed the fire giant and then proceed to his final location

Fighting Alexander was extremely difficult, not difficult as in fighting him having to kill him after he helped so much with Radahn and Fire Giant. It was like having to kill your best friend :( But in the end, he was the truest of warriors

Here is the Pinned Comment, UPDATE (06/13/22): At long last it seems that the major bug with Alexander’s quest has been fixed with Patch 1.05! Hopefully this means we won’t see any more issues with the Questline. I will keep an eye out for any new issues with the quest. PROBLEM #1: Fire Giant has already been defeated/already at Crumbling Farum Azula but cannot find Alexander anywhere SOLUTION: Defeat Magma Wyrm in Mt. Gelmir and return to Radahn Battlefield. Speak with Alexander if he is at the battlefield, then return to the pool of lava and speak with Alexander there. Go to Fire Giant Arena/Site of Grace and rest there, and then look for Alexander in Crumbling Farum Azula. I'll continue to update this comment with Helpful information as time goes on. I like that most of these quest lines can't be broken easily. For instance, I didn't know to summon him for the fire giant fight and didn't do a few steps of this quest line, but I still did find him for the final battle and got both rewards. Sad that in NG+ I'll have to kill him for his other trinket but I'll toughen myself up by opening a new jar of jelly and eating the innards.

You can actually see him again after freeing him. He's journeying to caelid by trying to cut through the rear gael tunnel. You can talk to him there before going through and talking to him again after you open the door from the caelid side.

HUGE TIP FOR ANYONE HAVING A HARD TIME FINDING ALEXANDER: if after the radahn fight you are having problems not being able to find Alexander in liurnia, seethewater or the mountaintops of giants it’s most likely because you did not speak with him in the radahn boss arena after beating radahn.

Alexander is like the Seigmeyer of Elden ring. Comically large character design. Loves action and adventure. Strong and tanky A jolly and bro-like voice and attitude. Loved by the community. Quest involves a Younger, similar looking female version of them. (Seiglinde and the little jar kid) Tragic death but great reward in the process.

Tip, when finding Alexander in the lava pool at 4:40 you don’t have to fight the wyrm. If you approach from the other side and hug the right wall you can get to Alexander undetected.

Hey everyone, just wanting to share my experience with this quest. I've spoked with Alexander first in Limgrave, taking him out of the pit, then in Gael Tunnel, then in Redmane Castle before fighting Rahdan. After winning, didn't find him close to the grace like Blaidd (didn't search properly tho, mostly because the excitement of beating Rahdan) after that didn't spoked to him anymore. I fought the Lava Wyrm while exploring Mt. Gelmir and then made my way to Forge of the Giants, still didn't talking to him. After reaching Farum Azula, in the platform that he was supposed to be was only a dragon, killed him, reloaded the area, still nothing. Got back to Radahn Battlefield, found him there, them at the lava pit where he gave me the pot helmet (was worried that have missed this one) then got to Fire Giant site of grace and then finally to Farum Azula again, and he was there, where he was supposed to be! Great guide! Good luck to everyone!

Checked ALLLLL locations, BEFORE fighting radahn. He’s nowhere! Not even in the start area of the arena like he should be. Blaid is there! Tf! Lol Anyone got any pointers? Im on ng+ lvl 364 w all weapons and armor (weapons x5-7 each w diff AOW) I got gifted everything in the game by a random guy I invaded. (Video is on my channel if hun dropping items for 60seconds straight nonstop, it was magical!)

At 6:20 you mention that if you don't see the summon sign you should die and return to the spot, alternatively you can quit the game instead of dying and when you reload your character will be outside of the fog gate at the entrance to the boss

Alexander was so powerful during the fire giant boss fight, I was behind the giant so I didn’t see what Alexander did, but I suspect he did his flame fist uppercut and in 1 hit, stance broke the giant. We just stance broke him, and seconds later Alexander stance broke him again all by himself. I’m very grateful to that jar for helping with deal with that giant

For those who are missing okina because they defeated the fire giant at patch current patch I went t there after and looked up a video for getting it and still got invaded by him. Took roughly 5 minutes for it to come oddly enough. Hope that helps someone!

I wish I'd seen your comment a long time ago. At 400 hours of play, I never got to mess around with Rivers of Blood because until recently I played with zero updates/patches. I killed the Fire Giant long ago, just hours before learning about RoB. Went to get it, but no invasion and I read why. Finally, today I went back to the church to check just because of this video, and the fact that lots of changes I've found have been appearing since I finally updated. And boom, I got the invasion and sword. It's been bittersweet playing so long with the original release, and finally with patches now. I opened LOTS of empty chests and followed lots of loot guides which lead me to nothing, but now I'm revisiting all the locations and actually finding the loot. Definitely extended my play time, but really it's been a blast either way.

Funny enough you can also bump into him in the mine where you get the Moonveil from beating the wyvern. This happens before the festival, but after you met him for the first time. The quest still continues as normal, but It's weird that he can just show up there.

As of May 31st, I ignored Alexander's quest since Radahn's fight, even fought the Fire Giant without knowing he's a summon. I already beat Radagon before I went back to finish Millicent's quest (she was at the Snow Giants for some reason) and though that Alexander's could also be done. He was at the Mt. Gelmir lava site. Went straight to Farum Azula and he was there. Skipped the oil pot and the Fire Giant fight and still got it done. Next up, Fia... post-Elden Beast (though the knight with the 2 headed armor is already dead).

Just an FYI for people, i have just beaten the fire giant 5 minutes ago, saw this video and it saying that you can not get the Rivers of Blood sword after you beat the fire giant, i can confirm that you can get it but dont go and start the next sequence atop the forge, if you have killed the fire giant just head straight to the church of Repose and you will still be invaded by bloody finger i think it was where you will get the sword and mask. Just to point out though, im not sure if i was lucky to get invaded or not but all i did was go straight to the church on seing this video and it worked, this was before using myself or melenia as kindling tho, hope this helps someone out So tbh i was extremely lucky to have seen this video or i would have missed out on the sword and mask ive no doubt, thanks its shatter, you saved my butt here

Tip: Igniting the Erdtree is not required in order to make Alexander to move to Farum Azula. That is to say, you can use the Four Belfries “wrong warp” glitch to get to his final location without worrying about blocking other questlines.

I just beat those two and entirely cheese them I used sleep pots sword of st.trina and any weapon that can use wild strikes As long as the weapon with Wild strikes is well upgraded you can keep both enemies asleep and wild strikes them to death the skinny one I could one cycle and the fat i could sometimes one cycle The st Trina sword is only if you can't make enough sleep pots Goodluck

In Ng+ start his quest he gonna be in limgrave but do that before fight with radahn (necessary) then talk to in festival start it and fight radahn talk to him again he gonna be there with blaid then the oil part (you can skip, because i did accidentally and quest didn't cancel) oil part is annoying talk to him in volcano manor then fight fire giant you can summon him if you want then ritual and you'll battle with him in farum azula it's gonna be last time after defeat he'll give you shard of Alexander very good talisman hope it helps you

Alexander is stuck in the Radahn arena on mine. I've exhausted all his dialogue, been to his next spots. I even tried attacking him to agro him, then resetting it at the church of vows.. but he still won't leave. I'm at the crumbling farum azula now, and he's still at Radahn. He always says this line over and over if I talk to him. 'Alright lads, I'm going to take you on a little journey. You'll all be inside me and part of me. So let's all of us dream big.' Is there any known way to fix this bug?

It's actually after you initiate the duel he drops Shard of Alexander. If you just attack him at Farum Azula without talking he'll drop the Warrior Jar Shard instead.

Nice guide !!🔥quick little FYI you can also free Alexander using the roped oil pots if you’re too lazy to go to sofria river. The roped oil pot is one of the ingredients used for the normal oil pot! They shoot backwards when you throw them btw since you can’t lock on to Alexander during this dialogue so don’t waste them trying to throw in front of you!

I freed him the first time, summoned him for Radhan, then I didn't find him till after I was eating glass at destined death, only to find out I had to backtrack and find him at the mt gelmir wyrm. Now on the final leg of getting to him in Farum Azula. So far the quest retracks pretty well if you scuff it 🤷‍♂️🤦‍♂️

WHAT TO DO IF ALEXANDER STUCK AT RADAHN BATTLEFIELD I tried to get this medallion in my first run, and I started doing the questline AFTER killing the fire giant, and for some reason alexander never left radahn's area. (i tried several things but nothing, he was just stuck) After starting a NG+ travel I was able to get it, but I want to point out that it was necessary for me to kill the fire giant and (I did it with Alexander, Idk if it's necessary) burn the big tree. I went to farum azula before doing the step mentioned above and alexander just wouldn't be there, he would be stuck in the lava area. For anyone who's annoyed because of the bug, it took me 4 hours starting from a fresh new run to get the medallion, for sure there are faster ways to do so. If you don't know how to skip some bosses, like the first one at the castle and rennala, just let me know in this comment. Hope this will help!

On the final step there is a dragon but after killing the dragon and coming back Alexander doesn’t spawn for me ☹️

I haven't seen anyone experience the problem i have anywhere: i have completed everything in his quest line even the seethwater lava pit thing. i defeated the fire giant without summoning him and went to crumbling farum azula and didnt find him there. he's been chilling at radahn's arena with his dialogue exhausted ever since i completed the seethwater encounter and remained there. then i saw this thing about resting in fire giant site of grace and found out ididnt discover it yet so i rested there and retraced all the steps he was still at radahns arena and not in farum azula. pls someone help what am i missing

A nice detail i liked is that id you lill it before crumbling farum azula it doesnt drop "shard of alexander", its just "warrior jar shard", i think this might be because in shard of alexanders description it says it has the red hair of a champion wich might be radahn, since hes found scavenging after victory, so as crumbling farum azula is the only physical location where alexander can be found after the scavenging since we can see in the fure gisnt summon he gained a fire move + immunity to fire damage, so as he drops that with the name Alexander instead of "warrior jar" is the fact he gained those powers, and tgats what makes him recognizable apart of ANY other living jar, his powers after the radahn festival are those who make him alexander.

I mean dude I like your videos. But I think you leave out a lot of necessary info. You say you get the oil pots from the merchant but don’t explain how especially if you’re missing the cracked pots. Every single tutorial or guide you put out I have to constantly search other KZbin videos to explain the necessary steps to get the items. Thats not even including locations.

Yeah there.. are stuff missing but honestly they are quite reliable compared to some. It's so hard to explain steps in eldenring. Because you always need something to get something. But I didn't even need the oil pots. I was already ahead just from exploring. I wouldn't recommend playing this game solely on following Yt vids. If you just explore you'd be suprised how much stuff you'll find. But I'd say this channel is fair and clear. He Can't do Everything. You have to meet these tutorials "half way." Basically support not full reliance. Anyways, peace.
