Yes, yes, YES, to everything you said about arms. Any time you've got two hands on a gun I suddenly don't want to use it, apparent from covering a lot of the mini, which I don't like, it's always such a hassle to get everything in the right position. Some little tabs would get around all of that and all you have to do to change the pose is clip them off.

Honestly with the one that Murray did that is one I would actually try to cast in clear resin with a small plastic skull inside it and then you only pour so much in the clear and then you do the rest in a blue or green transparent so you can still see the skull and it looks like it's in the goo and then you paint over everything else that isn't the viser section black and then hit your other colors so it looks from the back side because it's transparent you see the skull but there's the black background from the shadows and the skull looks like it's floating and you just paint the skull before you put it in there like just attach a metal rod into the back of the skull to look like a spine have it stick out and have three prongs to hold it over the mold and then you just clip it off so it also looks like it has a metal spinal column

YES!! I thought of Dave immediately when I saw the mechanicum box set go up for sale today. Hope they drop those kits individually soon I want those servitors. Horus heresy sculptors really trying to out do all the other departments. Edit: The amount of Necromunda and BSF models that yall chopped up hurt my soul. Mainly the BSF is impossible to get in the US anymore. All the Dark Mec builds blew my mind.

Nice video, always enjoy watching people doing some conversions. The only thing that bugged me was you guys constantly calling them Mechanicus, not Mechanicum. Lore wise the Adeptus Mechanicus didn’t form until late in the Heresy, and the Dark (or ‘new’) Mechanicum always retained the same name.

Greetings guys. I’ve just watched this epic video and I have a question to ask: I’m looking to kitbash my very first army. My idea is for an army of Davy Jones/octopus/Kraken 🦑 themed guys. Quick comment... The Castellax and the Thalax are both using Darkfire Cannon, those are Xenotech weapons 😉If you dive a little deeper in the lore of them (which I was surprised you hadn't, if it were your special interest) you'd have figured out that every single thing about them screams Drukhari weaponry. They're Mechanicum Dark Lances for all intents and purposes. Really enjoyed the video though, but more than a little annoyed on the consistent misnaming of the faction, they're Dark Mechanicum, they don't become the Mechanicus until AFTER the Heresy.
