Being a mother myself, it's tough to see our kids grow up so quickly! Once they graduate and leave the house things are never the same. We dropped off our daughter at college 900 miles away in 2020. Her roommate was her best friend from home, so it was doubly hard to leave. It’s like a grieving process. You’re happy for them and so proud, but you freaking miss them being there day in and day out. Now she’s got a great boyfriend, and she’s done amazing academically. Her brother lives a few hours away too, so it helps knowing someone is close.

Live up in Canada as a dad. Dropped off my first born at UBC and it was hard. My first girl the one I held after birth and thanked God for. My scary movie mate. Took her to swimming and stuff. Now she’s far away in another province not State going to University and miss her terribly. Have a younger daughter at home but the memories are awful. Everyone talks about what mom goes through but not the real men the fathers who supported their daughter. It hurts but I’m so proud. My heart bursts!!!
