cook the stuffing to almost done. then stuff it in the bird and cook them together to get the turkey fats and flavours in the pre cooked stuffing.

In our family we have both wet and dry, and we use those exact terms too. I love the wet stuffing, and I also think the stuffing in the turkey gives the turkey so much more flavor. I know those are family recipes, but every time you talk about Nana’s noodles I wonder what makes them so good. Maybe you could make a little recipe book with your family favorites and add it to your merchandise, but donate those proceeds to a charity, like a food bank.

We had gumbo and pies for Thanksgiving this year. So much better a lot less stress. Every year we cook turkey and 1,000 items LOL we just wanted to make memories with all the family get together without the stress.

11:46 Yep. I cook mine breast down on a rack so the hot air circulates. I also buy a pack of free range chicken livers to roast along in the bottom of the pan with the turkey liver, for a mind blowing gravy base. Not to mention the livers are yummy on their own.😊

Our menu is very similar to yours! I will admit though that we did purchase pies from Publix this year. We did Dutch Apple, Pumpkin, Pecan and Key Lime! The other new thing we did this year was roasting the sweet potatoes for the sweet potato casserole and let me tell you it was STUNNING. Highly recommend. Do you guys ever do a relish tray? It's a family tradition of ours. We do carrots, black olives, green olives, pickles, celery with cheese (weird but good), cherry tomatoes on a little relish tray.

This has nothing to do with Thanksgiving. Just with me begin a cat owner. I couldn't believe they just gave the cats the wet food right out of the can without chopping it up a little bit. I'm not saying this in a negative way I'm just noticing that while watching and wondering if that's what everyone does and maybe I'm just the weird one. My cat Tuna can't get any off if we just give it to him straight in the mold like that. I use a fork to 'chop' it up a little bit so its more mashed up. If you have a cat please sound off in the comments.. I'm genuinely curious about this one. There are no right or wrong ways to this I am seriously just wondering how other people feed their cats wet food.

American Thanksgiving food is so odd. Nothing goes together, its a mess TBH. Whenever I am in the US, I battle the fruit with the veggie combination. They should not be on a plate together, unless its Chinese. The desserts are great though.

Funny, my mom and I debated this. She said we should have dinner rolls and I said that I thought we had enough food and carbs and didn’t need them. She brought a loaf of bread anyway and no one ate it!! We used it for French toast the next day and it was delish!
