Ever since 2002, Bachmann has gotten better and better, until all of their engines look exactly like they were in the show.

OMG THEY’RE SO ADORABLE PFFTDBDVSVHS I WANT THEM SO BAD I wish they sold model trains in Korea 😭 Also Annie and Clarabel are MASSIVE bro tbh I think it’d be better to get custom printed ones idk lol 🤷♂️
@ItsTrainBoy9 ай бұрын
Man that sucks SO much, is it more expensive or harder in general to import them into Korea?? And man you may be right- which sucks for me because painting and decaling this small is for SURE gonna hurt if I do 🥲😅
@ChomuOmu9 ай бұрын
Trust me bro. Getting models in this country is harder and more expensive than US people getting TOMY/Plarail stuff, counting actual rare ones. I’ve only seen Bachmann Thomas once in my life, and that was at a Thomas event.
@SNER3339 ай бұрын
You're right, Thomas' scaling to Annie and Clarabel is different. That's because Thomas' CGI model (N scale range) is shorter than A&C, while his model series counterpart (HO range) was taller.
@lucarioaustin139 ай бұрын
They are super adorable! Tempted to get a nscale set then some cars and maybe a few straight tracks to run around a table we have at my house!
@BillandBenProductions67929 ай бұрын
It’s so cool how Bachmann it’s starting to make a lot of N scale models since Bachmann already made an N scale Scruffy and an N scale Toad, they should make an N scale Oliver so that means We can all make a remake of the episode called Toad Stands By.

Ah, finally, a bigger N-scale layout. I don't recall we ever saw a bigger layout like this, it's cool that we do! I'm curious if you'll pull out some of your older N-scale stuff if you still have it.

I actually got into the n-scale Thomas range by accident. I ordered an HO Bachman Thomas and got sent an N scale one instead… but I honestly loved it so much I decided to get the full train set, as well as an extra set of tracks as well as an extra set of Thomas’s coaches. This little engine is fantastic!

I’d say the worst thing about this set (along with Thomas being too small even for cgi) is the tumblehome (the side profile of the coaches). Like their 00 scale counterparts, they are flat/parallel sided which just really distracts from everything else. The only way to fix this I’ve found is to cut up the body, file the desired profile into the front and back plates, file down the thickness of the insides of the sides of coaches until nearly paper thin, score the areas to be bent most, and then file everything for best fit. Now that may sound like a lot of work and it is. I’ve spent days just filing and sanding to get a coach 1/2 way done, but the result is great and the coaches are finally starting to look right, instead of looking worse than the take along ones.

I do agree that Annie and Clarabel are a bit larger in scale than Thomas is, but I honest love that. It makes sense for them to be big, and I think it makes them feel a lot more grand I also think that with the sad face, the Thomas model almost makes him look like his Great Discovery model, though that may just be me
@stealthninja59 ай бұрын
For S.C Ruffey, they definitely should've given the ho scale version of him full-on paint job with some orange on the chassis instead of just leaving it plain grey at first place 😕

I might have to get one of their n scale starter sets ngl, I have an old school Tomix one, but I fried that controller instantly because I didn't realize there was such a big difference between Dutch and Japanese power sockets :/ so I haven't been able to run it for longer than 5 seconds these past 2-3 years

falling deep into my thomas brainrot rn. genuinely considering spending over 200 on this set. i don't think I even have the space in my apartment to set this up
@Rovan841273 ай бұрын
Unless you’re *extremely* tight on space then you should be more than fine, N scale stuff is very compact and it’s definitely helped by how Thomas himself is probably just over half the size of a Kato P42 locomotive, and A&C being half the size(ish?) of a typical Amtrak passenger coach. If you dive deeper though, definitely consider investing in Kato Unitrack instead of Bachmann track, Kato track is bulletproof
