@@acerazak4087 even though am a judoka and a fan of hirata,I can't disagree with u,ritu is very strong in wrestling and judo strategies also, even If she claims to be a wrestler, I see a lot of judo in her fight and physically stronger than hirata also
@kiabtoomlauj62493 жыл бұрын
@@acerazak4087 Hirata is going to submit the excellent wrestler in Phogat (similar to the Ben Askren-Demian Maia situation) and then go on to defeat Angela Lee as well. Despite what she said about KOing Hirata standing, in reality, Phogat's only realistic way to victory is to use her elite wrestling to take Hirata to the ground and do ground and pount. (If Elyse Anderson who is bigger, taller, and stronger than both Hirata and Phogat, who, as a striker, actually knocked Hirata down to the mat, briefly, failed to KO Hirata, a Hirata-sized wrestler, a non-striker, in Phogat isn't going to KO Hirata standing.) Unfotunately, for Phogat, the ground is where Hirata defeats 95% of her opponents! Despite her excellent Judo, Hirata is not as good a pure wrestler as Phogat; but again on the ground, her BJJ technicality is much more proven than Phogat's. (This line of reasoning, of course, is contingent on the assumption BOTH fighters do everything correctly, without one making a glaring mistake... such as, "Here's my arm... do whatever you want with it." If no serious mistake is made on either side, Hirata is a bit stronger, physically, than Phogat, so, given her proven submission skills... she will find a way to overwhelm Phogat; won't be easy, again, due to Phogat being an elite wrestler who is naturally better at positioning and control; but I think Hirata will outmaneuver her eventually on some tactical submission move, while both struggling for dominance/position on the mat...)

@@kiabtoomlauj6249 wow your comment was so long😅 even if Hirata beat Phogat I don't think she gonna beat Angela, she's too small compared to Angela n her striking is also limited...the way to beat Angela is thru striking because her striking is awful but she's very good at grappling n very big for atomweight

I think Itsuki Hirata stands a great chance of winning the tournament and meeting Angela. How ONE does not even have Itsuki in the rankings is crazy. Itsuki has finished 80% (4 out of 5) of her opponents that she has faced in ONE and has advanced in the tournament. Denice has finished 20% (1 out of 4) of her opponents since being in ONE and has also been eliminated from the tournament because of losing in a decision. ONE keeping Denice in the rankings (espcially at 1st) and not even having Itsuki in the rankings is beyond crazy. Hopefully after the semi finals, ONE will reevaluate these rankings. There is no way that two that lost in the Grand Prix are ranked and not Itsuki.

If she improves her striking a bit, Hirata can become a dominant force anywhere she fights. She obviously isn't there yet, but she did show decent flashes on the feet. With the exceptional ground game she possesses, she just needs to make sure she can get the fight to the ground without getting tagged too much.

This was her first match that ever had to get a decision from the judges. Itsuki has always finished her opponents. I am sure that played a huge role in her attitude at the end. She is like Angela in that she always tries to finish her opponent and never wants to leave it to the judges to decide.
