@@rencotori The lyrics is intentionally bad for the story, hence why it made the comedy of this cutscene even funnier. I speak/understand Japanese, and even with rough translation, the lyrics are still ridiculous. Between the two dubs, I preferred the English performance because its supposed to be comedically bad like Americans showing up to a Japanese Karaoke bar. Amazing vocals with excessive passion. The Japanese VA is too good a singer to make it funny in my experience.

@@robster7787 Ohhh I think I know what you mean, I was totally expecting Itto to sing a “Tsuppari High School Rock ‘n Roll” kind of song, so the Kayoukyoku genre (?) caught me a bit off guard, it definitely would be much funnier if his passionate and tryhard cool vocals weren’t matching the soft instrumental xd I was actually surprised that Itto never complained about the song being “soft rock” because im sure he expected something hardcore (although from the other side, he does have a very soft side to himself), so this would make a lot of sense

Glad someone noticed this, the traveller was missing their sibling so bad that they couldn't be together for these amazing happy moments. At the same time Traveller adores Paimon so much which isn't explicitly shown but the traveller always protects her and provides all that she needs like a responsible sibling. As much as a certain section of the community doesn't like Paimon (because the character was meant to be annoying) I adore her she gives the traveller the warmth of home and companionship (she pushes us to do some activity or the other) without which they could have long lost or become a sad lonely person. That's some dynamic beautifully given by Hoyoverse, Traveller must always protect her, handle her childishness, get annoyed at times, do random stuff, clean up the mess like literally cleaning up hahaha😂. If Paimon was more mature and not stupid we would have had a depressed interesting journey rather than a fun, happy and interesting journey. She is going to grow one day and speak like a formal diplomat I hope she also holds a certain level of fun characteristic in the future (ig she would do coz of how she treats Barbatos maybe she knows him too well).

@@meerashri2216 Yeaa right, that's what I'm trying to say. At this point (or maybe long long time ago already I'd say), Paimon isn't just Traveler's guide, she's Traveler's "sibling". She's clumsy, competitive (about food especially hahaha), don't wanna left behind, often making mess, always want any foods or drinks that Traveler is having. But on the other side, she's always there for Traveler no matter how hard it is, and that's pretty much what siblings would do naturally. I don't find her annoying at all. She's the best part of Traveler's life for now, and I hope someday he could loosen up the burden when he gets reunited with his twin. Imagine Traveler siblings and Paimon trio, it would be chaotically fun hahaha.

Already knew each of the VA’s could sing so the great singing was more or less an after thought. And so I’m ranking my favorite based on how well they’re performing as their character. JP Paimon did well, she sounded like how I’d interpret paimon would sing. But JP Itto sounded too good. Probably just because I’m being a bit bias due to knowing his VA’s actually a singer. I really like th EN version. Loved how EN paimon delivered the “bequeath all my mora” part. Probably not the right words but really loved how when EN Itto sings it feels “exaggerated” and or really “projected”, definitely feels like how I’d interpret Itto would sing. Especially the entire lines when he interrupted Paimon. And the part where paimon would then, in retaliation, interrupt Itto too, I liked how her “Unagi goodbye” sounds a little off due to her trying to cut off Itto, but then becomes more smooth again because she got back her pace. Whether that was an intentional detail or not, it still fits pretty darn nicely. I wouldn’t fault EN VA Paimon if singing in her higher voice is difficult for her. Regarding CN version, my opinion on it is basically about the same as the EN version, I really like the CN version too. As for the KR version, idk. I don’t really have an opinion on it after the EN and CN versions. Not saying it’s unremarkable, I think I just find it comparable to what I think of the JP version. So now, picking between the EN version or CN version, I struggled but I think I’m going with the CN version as my favorite. Due to because in the EN version, when they deliver the last line together “Of rosy skies”, the VA’s immediately start desyncing/deharmonizing near the end of the line unlike the other three. If it wasn’t for that little off detail then obviously I’d say the EN version is my favorite. If you’ve bothered to read through all of this, well damn.
