I had cosmetic surgery in the uk, I was given poisonous implants by a reputable very well known private clinic, the company changed its name so 1000s of us couldn’t do anything about it, the nhs would remove the poisonous implants but wouldn’t replace so I’d be left very disfigured. I took out a large loan to fix the issue. Do I think the nhs should cover, actually, no I don’t, but what I want to stress is, uk or abroad, the nhs won’t necessarily fix the problem.

Exactly, even in the US, people are dying everyday from elective surgery as clinics here also do not have aftercare services. And you have to pay out of pocket for corrective surgery and hospital visits ect. It can happen anywhere.

The NHS has offered to fix you, just not the cosmetic aspect.

The NHS isn’t obliged to fix you. If you take the risk of cosmetic surgery anywhere in the world including the UK, make sure you have the extra money to get it fixed if it doesn’t work out.

Maybe surgeons in this country should not charge so much so people could afford them and don’t go abroad.

Bariatric surgery is not "necessary" surgery. That's ridiculous. Food addiction is like any other addiction and should be treated as such. Otherwise, the person will continue to have the same problems.

Women, we need to find pride and achievement in something else than looking like whatever today's Barbie look is. I feel proud and achieved because of my education level which I worked really hard for, I'm proud of my crafts talent which I can show in many works I've made, I'm a good cook, I'm a loyal friend, I am vegan because I love animals. I don't care to look "hot" or attractive to some random men. Sure, I could be a bit more fit (fitness), but I don't feel bad about not looking "hot". As women we should be much more than our looks. I'm in my late 30s.

Turkish surgeons are amongst the best, it’s the aftercare that’s the problem. You need to stay in Turkey for at least 3 months with aftercare and make sure you have insurance.

And what Alice Webb, a 33-year-old mother of five who died after having liquid BBL done in the UK? You are slamming Turkey, where the UK is known to be a wild wild west when it comes to plastic surgery and aesthetic procedures. People with no qualifications are able to perform liposuction surgery after having a few hours "course". That is what you should investigate.

We have children and others, here dying for the want of treatment, yet the NHS, in other words you and I, have to pay for these vain creatures who want to do it on the cheap. They should be given pain relief and that's all, it's thier own silly fault, and the NHS should make it clear they will only get this. As for Chris if he genuinely has body dysmorphia the NHS will treat him. Bariatric surgery, while I have sympathy for the state that poor girl is in, again it's impatience, want it now, she could have lost the it the way many people do, I would ask the question what is happening that a 21 year old is so big she needs surgery ?.

You clearly didn’t watch the report, these people are suffering from legitimate mental health issues and are preyed upon by opportunistic doctors. Putting more money into mental healthcare would be a fantastic preventative measure to combat these mental health issues, but these services have been underfunded for years.

If by a ‘new set of teeth’ you mean veneers, these need replacing every 10 years. If you are struggling to afford to do it in the uk, you do not have a stable high enough income to guantee you can afford it every 10 years for the rest of your life (including in your retirement). What happens in 10 years? Or post retirement when you can keep replacing it? Go to consults with British dentists, explain your financial situation. Many will do the consult for free if you are looking for your option.

Why is turkiye receiving the blame? Why not start blaming the person who wanted to go in the first place? All businesses are cash grab businesses and will say anything for a quick buck, UK is not any different The individual chose to go, end of discussion
