The Premier League's Head's Up campaign has been encouraging people to talk about their mental health. For West Ham's Gilly Flaherty doing that has been difficult but necessary to break down the barriers between what we see and what's actually going on inside.
Gilly's success on the pitch is undeniable, including seven FA Cups and a Champions League win with Arsenal. But she carries a private, painful memory from when she was 17.
Lonely, away from home with Arsenal's academy; struggling with her sexuality and falling behind in college - she tried to take her own life.
Gilly is here now to talk about her experience and her involvement with the Time to Talk campaign.
