We're a top 10 championship side and genuinely we could get a result against Southgate's England. Why? They tried their hardest to break down a Low block which is hard against any team. They scored a slightly offside goal and worked the ball much more efficiently than they have been recently. You should not be frustrated with this performance because this is a starting point to many attacking performances.

The only potentially good takeaway is that the rest of the group C games were just as dull as England's. It wasn't like there were any disorganised or poor teams and if anything it was England who were the most slack with possession and yet only conceded one goal and a breathtaking, world class, long range effort at that. Tonight was a hundred miles ahead of the Denmark performance and significantly ahead of the Serbia performance. Harry Kane came to life. Mainoo Palmer and Gordon all got a run. England top their group, have got a decent half of the draw and anyone who thinks Slovenia are no good clearly wasn't watching their previous two games.

I think one thing we can all agree on is that defensively we look a lot better, but it’s being clouded by how bad we are going forward. Guehi and Stones have been solid as a centre back partnership. Not sure what the starting line to be. Understanding everyone’s calls to start Palmer but not for Saka. Would be unfair to drop Saka out of the front line when he’s the only one who has showed any spark this euros bar bellinghams header.

Even as a Chelsea fan I can’t help but love kobbie mainoo. For the state utd are in and maybe cole has this too because chelsea are a state but to carry the club on your shoulders at such a young age is remarkable considering the state of both clubs. And then Southgate not playing them both when clearly some stars aren’t performing is ridiculous. We only looked a threat when they both came on. Not saying it’s our answer and what will win us the tournament but clearly they are the best for the team right now

Wasn’t a great watch, same as Denmark. But at the same time if someone said pre-tournament we’d have been top of the group unbeaten after 3 games every person in England would have taken it. Time to step it up now in the knockouts, but job done for now.

I don’t know why no one else can see that Palmer has to play. He barely got a game for city but when he did he bossed the game. I was sad to see him go but I hoped he would get a chance to play at Chelsea well that happened and now they build the team around him. Barely given a chance by Gareth but when he came on he looked the best player England has had all tournament. He bosses games and England should build the team around him and Foden not Kane and Bellingham. Not only are they incredibly talented but they also work bloody hard. I’m telling you now.
