i shot this and i felt that the moment we started shooting. they had a 3 song lp at the time, nobody knew who they were. And i was like damn these ladies are stars. this video and go slow acoustic are the most raw performances by this band imo.

I love them live.. Everyone seems to hate them live but I think they are awesome.. You can hear the gritty emotion in their voices and the instruments.. Gorgeous. I like when artists don't sound like the studio version.

I just discovered the Haim sisters yesterday. Such a breath of fresh air. I hope they don´t get caught too much in the media shit and keep focused on the music. They ooze style, looks and natural charisma. Danielle has tons of soul in his guitar playing and singing, Este must be a heroine for so much girls with her bass faces, destroying the "i need to be pretty- and /or slutty 24-7- to make it" stereotype of female pop icons, and Alana... well, I love Alana. Most important they clearly care for the music and their instruments, and have a lot of honest rock in their veins, while injecting the best of pop music (e.g the excellent vocal harmonies).
