I think as a way to make a MK3 while making it balanced could be to give it a little bit more speed, allow a 2nd person to fit, change the kind of missile it can shoot (like with bombs) like say incendiary, gas, or EMP (no cluster) but reduce the amount of missiles it contains after purchase, It would have countermeasures and boost like the MK2, and as a special little ability that shows it better as MK3, it would be able to maneuver like a plane (unlike MK 1 or 2), have VTOL like Hydra, as well as the ability to control it remotely. However, if you control it remotely, you will not be allowed to use the weapons unless it's EMP or use the boost. It would be like using guided missile but faster and easier to control plus EMP and not blowing up when crashed Tell me, is this idea OP or balanced

There are a few good ways you could nerf the MK2. One is change how the missiles work, remove the super lockon and only make it able to shoot one missile at a time with a cooldown in between each shot. That would cut down severely on missile spamming and the almost guaranteed hit each time. Another is make it more vulnerable to damage, it can still take the same amount of fire before it explodes but like aircraft its flight capability can be damaged. When it gets hit its hover control has hitches and it can suddenly drop altitude, a few sustained hits can cause the hover engine to sputter making it drop suddenly. Enough damage and the hover engine gives out completely making it grounded, only able to do short "hops" using the booster. With that it can be taken out of the sky a lot easier by players, no more tanking several hits from a minigun with no effect. FMJ ammo could down the hover engine in one hit as well. A third option as well, give the players better countermeasures. One I would suggest is make a modernized version of the "Fliegerfaust", an experimental micro missile launcher designed to take down airplanes. Make it fire a battery of lets say 10 micro missiles, each themselves not doing a lot of damage (like it would take 5 of them to hit to explode a regular car) but they lock on fast and are very agile. MK2s and planes can use flares but they can only attract a part of the volley, some missiles are still tracking. Planes can tank some hits and the MK2 won't explode directly, but it's enough to knock the rider off grounding them.

sometimes I look at the map and see someone doing missions and an mk2 catching up to them, I will go out there and draw the mk2's attention. throw some flares out over the grinder. sometimes the mk2 will shoot then I kill the mk2 several times and stay with the grinder and tell them to keep going. we help each other like that if we see a potential attack.

Mk3 will be "technically" a bike because you gotta be able to summon it with the MC menu. It'll be a full-cockpit vehicle with bulletproof windows, it'll be able to hover, fly, and go undersea. It will be armed with a turreted dual explosive MG that's got the fire rate of the Hydra. It'll have stealth mode, countermeasures, infinite boost, an energy shield that can tank an orbital cannon strike, and the ability to teleport in any direction a few meters. It'll also have autolock mode, where your MG will automatically track any enemy players, on foot or in vehicles. In the case of multiple targets it'll prioritize cargo or setup equipment. The vehicle will be available for purchase as soon as you own a Flying Saucer, which will have a special Tech Bay that allows you to customize the Mk3. The Saucer needs to be housed in the newest facility, the Space Station, which can be purchased for a clean $20 million, but comes free (with no upgrades of course) with any purchase of a Megalodon shark card. While using the Mk3 you're immune to wanted levels, having muggers/Merryweather called on you, and enemy players in a 1km radius of the Mk3 are unable to use passive mode, even being kicked out of passive mode when you come nearby.

I feel like if rockstar put some type of punishment for griefers they would stop completely if everytime they killed multiple people in a certain amount of time money will begin to be deducted from the griefers account and deposited into the victims account and if they kept doing it larger sums of money will be deducted until they are broke and if that isn't enough then your vehicle can be impounded and the victim plays a part in how much you will have to pay to get your vehicle (example: Oppressor MK2) out or a temporary usage ban could be issued.. also to prevent abuse of this system the victims will receive a on screen prompt asking if they are being griefed or if they are freely engaging with the attacker for a 1v1 hence preventing accidental friendly 1v1s from being recognized as an attack so you'd be prompted with a message to either accept a 1v1 or knock it off or else your pockets will begin to drain to the victims account This basically gives both players a chance to 1. Keep fighting each other if they feel like it or 2. You're being attacked and you have no desire to engage with that player. This is just an idea. We regular players would love this idea but griefers would hate it.

The targeting portion depends on the player. I used to have free aim on my character, but for the Oppressor Mk2 I changed it to Target Strangers which will lock onto everyone. I think the Oppressor is okay as a vehicle. It has 20 rockets, you can literally count down each rocket until the user runs out. The problem is the person who rides the oppressor, not the vehicle itself.

Model is kind of like the bike you're riding, it's top speed on ground and on air is 175-200, instead of missles it shoots a beam thing exactly like the Up and Atomizer that simply just pushes cars a bit but you cant shoot while on it, making it basically a vehicle purely for transport and defense, completely incapable of causing actual damage to things, and since the up and atomizer only successfully flips and throws cars from a certain angle, it would practically only be used by griefers to unsuccessfully push people during missions and inevitably get blown up by a homing missle, boom

I've been a pvp player since xbox 360 and i can tell you every vehicle in the game has 2 things in common. A weakness and the fact it takes some level of skill to use, the problem with the mk2 is it has neither of those qualities. The only way i can see to nerf it and keep it in the game is to remove the missiles. At a bare minimum it will take immense amounts of skill to kill someone with explosive cannon without dieing. Another potential nerf could be to make it less agile in the air so its a lot harder to dodge missiles on it so players with homing launchers have a chance to kill the mk2 user if they position badly giving it a weakness. Then hopefully the vehicle might have at least some place withing gta online.

An Oppressor MK3 would be cool as like a really futuristic looking flying bike. But definitely would need some work so it's not op. Here's a few of my ideas for features Weapons/upgrades: - Normal M.G. and Explosive M.G. - Basic air countermeasures - Stealth/Off Radar (would disable weapons when in use, similar to what a few air vehicles already have) - Missile Jammer (this would not conflict with the stealth upgrade, however this replaces all weapons on the MK3) Speed: - Bit faster than the MK2, making it really good for doing work or just traversing the map, but not enough to make it crazy fast. - Boost would recharge while flying, unlike the MK2. However it would recharge slowly while flying and faster when stopped.

TL;DR: my version of the MK3 is a motorcycle-shaped helicopter (though - slightly? - faster than an actual helicopter) equipped with Nightshark guns and a vertical take-off boost. Instead of missiles, the MK3 would only have mounted machine guns like on the Nightshark. In return, it would be FAR more maneuverable like a helicopter, and instead of having a forward boost like the previous versions, it would basically have a clone of the Thruster’s boost which would launch it vertically. This would most likely be used for collection-type missions like Cayo’s Plasma Cutter prep. It can take out on-foot players and NPCs, but its vehicle-to-vehicle combat would be sub-par at best - especially against bulletproof vehicles like the tanks and the Armored Karuma or the Paragon R Armored. This has been my MK3 Ted Talk, thank you for your time.

one idea i had about an mk3 opressor would be that it would be able to only shoot lazers which don't deal an insane amount of damage, no aim help and the lazer overheats and you have like a 5s cooldown once it overheats. it would also be able to go slightly faster than the mk2, let's say from 130 to 145 mph. however the engine also overheats, and the only way to cool it down ?... you guessed it, land on the ground !

Here is my vision of Pegassi Opressor MK3: 1) It has the same speed as a F160 Raiju. 2) unlike MK2 now you can use all types of weapons. So this MK3 has explosive rounds canon, the best homing missles in the game, barrage missles, and bombs. 3) you can't fall over from it no matter how strong was collision of your crash. 4) it can fly in any direction straight. Upwards, downwards, and for the first time: left and right. So you don't even need to turn it. Also you can combine directions to go diagonally. And it has reverse gear in the air. But if you want you can turn off this and return old types of control like on MK2 5) it has defensive invisible aura-shield. It can take 100 rockets or 80 railgun shots before it's explode. 6) it has stealth mode like Akula, but when you turn this on you will lose all cops stars to zero. It's all fun, but I personaly wouldn't see this in the game. And I want that Rockstar delete MK2.

also for the mrk 3 comment at the end: remove the missiles, remove the counter measures, and make it so the boost regenerates while moving. so its a mobility tool. it will get you from point a to point b much faster but you have no fire power and no defenses on the vehicle. make it bulkier too so its easier to hit. maybe have an attached machine gun and not a minigun like some vehicle so it takes forever to destroy stuff and you dont have the accuracy of the a driveby weapon or stickies etc. it would have its place as a tool to get on location but it wouldnt be able to clear out areas like the mk2 or have defenses if someone tries to come after you.

The only decent way the can add an Oppressor MK3 into the game, is to release it WITHOUT homing missiles. • Make it faster that MK1 and MK2 so it's more convenient for travelling. • Let it keep it's counter measures, so that you won't get blown up by a MK2 every 10 seconds. • Hell, maybe even let it drive underwater, with a built in oxygen mask buikt in so that you won't drown in the ocean If they just remove the homing missiles, it's automatically useless in a fight, and it's appeal to griefers will be zero.

2 things on mk3. Make it extremly fun, like give it jump boost, downforce on land, and make it able to do tricks. And second as many people mentioned, make it defence vehicle, with strong armor some force shields and maybe a healing point. And some aditional speciality i would give it like skis so you can ride it on water or make it transfor to go underwater.

Actually MK1 is really a great addition into a game. It is hybrid, really hybrid inspired by an existing example. You must research rockets and some upgrades on it in a Bunker, which is very RNG based and it take take even a month or more to research it, if you are not lucky enough. Moreover, as you said, it is great for tricks and even can be faster than MK2 when correctly used. (Of course we are talking mainly about parts of map, where are a lot roads and straight terrain, where you can easily land, when terrain is more rough or with a lot of mountains, MK2 is better). MK1 can also be used for fighting, when needed, but you need a lot of skill to destroy MK2 players, but you can do it. Normally it is good to go straightforwardly against them and you both shot missiles at the same time, if you after it use your rocket boost, you can escape it or just try to avoid it by hiding yourself behind a building etc.. With MK2 you can only use your boost once and after it u must slow down to get it back. Only true benefit for MK2, which is but a complete decider is his control. It can be controlled really easily and therefore it is better to handle in fights or basically it works well against MK1 and other threats. MK1 needs a lot of skill and patience, once you badly land, you will be automatically dropped and thus destroyed even by your own mistake. In MK2 this thing doesn't exist or it is very hard to do a personal mistake, which is sad. I personally own both, but I use primarily MK1, even on missions, it is funny to fly and when I'm in fight, I roughly win 50:50 fights also against MK2 players, so I'm fine with it. Only preparation mission, where MK2 for me is really needed is Dughen shipments for Casino, which are really hard to do in MK1 primarily due to boats, which are far from a land and also some fights. I won't lie, If someone kills me in MK2, I usually take MK2 too and do a fights with them, but I hate it to lose against a griefers, so sadly I end up very often in fight with them. MK3 can exist, but it is so unhealthy for a game, therefore I hope they won't let it go in. Still I prefer use planes like Lazer, Hydra or F-22 Star or cars like Stromberg or Toreador. It is more fun to play against them in these vehicles, they are after it more tilted.
