My number 1 pick to play Al Green is Maxwell... Plus Maxwell killed this same song in a tribute to Al Green... AL Green did a live latter year's version of " Simply Beautiful" and killed it.. In this particular performance it's an older age Al Green on stage in a black suit....

I met Al Green in 2006 in Newport News, Virginia. He did an outside concert with over 20,000 people in attendance. I worked for the City of Newport News and the police let me stand beside his limousine until he got out. He talked to me for about 3 minutes and let me take all the pics I wanted. I'll never forget how nice he was. The legendary Al Green!

Al Green was the man in the 70's. I was too young to appreciate the sexiness (I loved Michael Jackson back then), but I still liked his music and my aunt loved him. Check out his Soul Train performance of "Here I Am". If only I was old enough back then. Whew, the man was on fire.
