IU and GD attend the same series of the Infinite Challenge

She has an on going age series, twenty three (23), palette (25) and eight (28). IU and GD were part of the 2015 infinite challenge. If you want to get to know her personality, check out her IU TVs. There are a few compilation here on yt and the clips are mostly from there as well. One of my fave iu tv eps is the Dlwlrma jeju episode part 1 and 2. Part 1 focuses more on her concert preps in jeju and part 2 focuses on her interaction with her team/staff. Part 1 and 2 is around 23mins combined :)

Palette is included on her age series alongside Twenty-three and eight which were telling about her experiences and/or thoughts on that certain age. I think I read somewhere that the theme(?) of her upcoming album might be revolving on this age stuff as well, since she's 29 (Korean age) this year, and it's almost the end of 20s and almost start of 30s. IU and Bigbang are 2nd gen and they had interactions back then in music shows and they were in the show Infinity Challenge in 2015. I think also IU has lots of interactions with YG artists and also IU is never shy asking for collab when it fits the music she's creating 😊

She does songs as kind of a musical diary every few years starting I think at 21. Her latest one was for when she’s 28 (Korean age) and it’s the song “Eight” she did with BTS Suga who is the same age. He produced it and did a verse on it and it’s just about how they are feeling at that age. Also, I think inspired by IU, Suga has a song called “28” on his D-2 mixtape. Likewise it’s just kind of a snapshot of where he is at this age. It’s such a great concept! Even more so because it’s not really a concept so much as a genuine and personal thing she does. “Palette” is by far my favorite song though. It always was but then I watched the video for my 25th birthday and listened to it a lot this year. This year was crazy, but for me it really has been a year of self reflection. Now I’m almost 26... I almost someone the exact same age as me was also making music like this so I could have a new song for 26

IU claims she's currently 29 but was born May 16, 1993. Her age, and the ages 23 and 25 are calculated in 'Korean age'. You're born 1 year old and the number increases every New Years.
