After this episode came out I realised that IU has a lot more international fans than I originally thought. Like I expected mostly seventeen fans to be talking about this episode but most people I’ve seen reacting to it or talking about it are IU fans who know nothing about Seventeen. to put in on context: - IU debuted in 2008 as 15 years old (as soloist) ... and hit superstardom in 2010 with Nagging and Good Day. - Good Day, the song in Music Bank they showed is a very monumental/ legendary song. Good Day is #1 song in The 100 Greatest K-Pop Songs of the 2010s by Billboard staff. - Heroes is a Korea TV variety show (2010) - Dream High is an idol-semi musical kdrama (2011). A bit cringey, but its also an important kdrama, bcs Dream High is one of springboard of IU, Suzy, Taecyeon 2PM, and Kim Soo Hyun career. All of them are respected actors now. also, this episode is very heartwarming particularly bcs we can see both acts' sincerity and down-to-earth nature - Seventeen took all dance, interview, and singing VERY seriously XD - IU bowing to DK, or casually saying "i cant dance - I want to study dance from Svt" despite all of Svt members watched her 2010 - 2013 days as dancing idols (yes, Good Day, You and I, The Red Shoes, and Every End of The Day, IU's super hits 2010 - 2013 all are dance songs - well, ofc the dances are not that difficult tho , lol - )
