Hey, we are DKDKTV, Danny Kim and David Kim. We’re both two ordinary students who major in media studies and live in Korea. We’ve been making KZbin videos since 2016 October. We love Kpop and we’re learning and listening to it! We do reactions for Kpop and other music genres as well. Also we both live in Seoul, Korea so we film our daily lives or special days and make them into vlogs as well, known as the ‘Seoul City Vibes’ series. Assuming the English translation is accurate enough. Based on that plus the MV this is a message from her current self to her younger self to hold on to her childhood self and not to lose it. The youngest version of IU is knitting the top that the oldest version of IU is wearing as she records her message for the long-haired version of IU in red which I assume representing a more heated/emotional IU - perhaps going through some drama. She's telling her to think back to when she was young, remember the excitement of that first kiss etc. Don't let that excitement of new experiences be lost like words in the sand to the ravages of time. So she somehow posts that letter back in time along with the hair clip she wore as a young girl and sends fireflies to her window to remind her to love herself and hold on to those qualities.

I heard IU said that she have insomnia, she often sleep at 4am, so "have a good sleep" have same meaning if someone say "I Love You" (for someone who have insomnia) so she writed it for UAENA / listener actually.... to said "have a good sleep" that her way to loves her fans.... she's cool ^^

In one of her talkshow with her singers friends she said the song is about falling in love which quite suprising to those who tought its her breakup song. However she gladly dedicate her song to those who likes it as a lullaby song. Pallete album are mostly from her diary which the timing after her breakup. So understandable there a process flow of falling in love, breaking up process and move on process and welcoming her 25 yo.
