What if you pass away even before using the cash value? If the agent didn't structure the policy with increasing death benefit, you will only end up with the death benefit and not including the cash value right?

That's correct. If it's a level death benefit option, beneficiaries would only receive the death benefit.

If the Index keeps performing well and the insurance company has no cap, where will they take the money from to pay the gains of the plan since they only get the lower interest on the GAP? (Just trying to understand IUL better). Thanks and hope to get a reply from you.

The life insurance policy in the IUL. Has a certain cost associated with it. It depends on the company you are going to use.

@@giovannymadridwealth COI will of course be for the coverage side. What I want to know is where would the insurance company take the money to pay for the gains based on the index, if they only gain about 4% in their General Accounts Portfolio? hope Doug can educated us on this too.
