IV CANNULATION NURSING PROCEDURE

Intravenous (IV) cannulation is a technique in which a cannula is placed inside a vein to provide venous access. Venous access allows sampling of blood, as well as administration of fluidsetc.
Introduce yourself to the patient.
Equipment for intravenous cannulation
Sanitise your hands using alcohol cleanser.
Apply the tourniquet.
Re-check the vein.
Clean the patients skin with the alcohol wipe.
Remove the needle cover.

remove stillet after blood coming out
Fix cannula,remove gloves and put date on it.
