Iron warriors legion what makes them great especially Perturabo is that they are not just soldiers they were also gifted technologist, innovators, engineers, builders. Shame the Imperium wasted and ignored Perturabo's main talents(Scholar, Scientist, Engineer, Philosopher,Architect) that would have helped the Imperium's technological golden age since the dark age of technology. Should Perturabo and his boys been given the honor to Design, Build and fortify Terra and Imperial palace and be given the position as the Pretorian of Terra Pertutabo would have stayed loyal to the Imperium's cause despite his disagreements to his old man.
@sonofthewolfguardianofthef12144 жыл бұрын
R Espnocza have you read any of the primarch books? The only person who wasted Petarobo’s talent was Petarobo himself. How is it that Guillimen was able to build a mini empire and yet Petarobo wasn’t able to build an amphitheater or a palace or even a hospital? I think Petarobo was constantly trying to outrun the star maelstrom and never really bothered. Then when he burned Olympia and realized that he lost the only thing that he could take pride in, he turned traitor.

@@respnocza6953 The Imperium didnt waste Perturabos talents. Perturabo did. He spend all of his time whallowing in self-pity about how nobody appreciated him, instead of getting up from his ass and doing the things he actually wanted and was good at. You'd think a legion specialised in seige warfare would have the least casualties out of all the world conquering legions. I guess the oher legions only managed to conquer more worlds than the 4th did because they gave up on a lot of the more difficult worlds -handing over subjugation task to the guard or the 4th.

Andrew Pye if you look att the Iron Warriors in the 41st millennium aren’t they the most disciplined, largest host of space marines? Don’t they also win out in having the most fortified rock of a homeworld? I listened to Arch Warhammer the other day. He portrayed the iron warriors and [what ammounts to footnotes] of their actions in *the seige of vraks.* I think i’ve heared and read enough of the iron warriors. I also think they’re the best at winning if you ask me. I find the iron warriors are the least idealistic host of marines. They go from world to world hustling fortifications to various unscrupulous municipalities. They never leave a planet with less resources and manpower than they did when the first arrived. We can both agree they were a far cry from *the winners* of the great crusade. I my best guess id they needed a couple hundred more years go get warmed up.
@Beowulf_DW4 жыл бұрын
Siege warfare (that is to say, attacking fortified positions) has been acknowledged by just about every great tactician in history as being something to avoid unless there is literally no other choice. Sun Tzu even advised avoiding it utterly. Even in modern warfare, having a 3 to 1 numbers advantage is usually considered the bare minimum for attacking an entrenched enemy in a fortified position.

Konrad Curze was the biggest nuisance off the battlefield, capturing and torturing Vulkan, inconveniencing Roboute Guilliman, Sanguinius, and Lion El'Johnson within the Imperium Secundus, as well as besting the first two. The fact that they still remained among the most numbered and supplied despite these intensive campaign's cost of life only highlights how powerful they truly could have been. While most other Legions end wars quickly or with little cost they were consequently unable to properly cope quick enough when the Heresy began with notable exceptions like the XIIIth due to their huge access of recruits. However the IVth's strength had been slowly bled with fewer and fewer access to recruits and the supply of munitions only became more difficult to obtain. Even Perturabo knew that his fleet could not defeat the fleets of Imperial and XIIIth origin that chased him with what he had, the best he could do was bleed them for every world they retook. For a legion like the IVth to consolidate valuable territory of recruitment and resources uncontested would allow their strength to return quickly in a matter of years, at least that's what I like to think. I would have liked to see them as loyalists who would eventually crush their counterparts with enough access to recruits and munitions and prove their "supposed" superiority in warfare. I am still waiting to see what Perturabo does next in 40k to see what more challenges he will face.

Looking at the iron warriors, and my own life, there is a shit ton in common. 1. So damn reliable, I consistently get the shit jobs because I am so dependable. 2. I do get the job throughly done, some even calls it beautiful work, even though I am slow. (My first job was working on connecting tv’s to new tv cables in old hotels and motels, and we had to hide the cables along walls and under carpets, and make it clean. I didn’t get the same number of rooms done per hours like my co-workers, but boss man always said that my work was “damn clean and beautiful, now just hurry the fuck up and you could be my number one.” I found a better job eventually, so I didn’t get faster.) 3. I take my assigned jobs with little complaint and get it done.
@DeHerg4 жыл бұрын
What I find a bit odd is that their major "complaint" was the way the Imperium(more like their own primarch and Horus) just threw them carelessly into the galactic meatgrinder, yet when they rebelled we saw no change in tactics. One would expect a drastic shift in emphasis towards their own self preservation(more along the lines of the later Blood Gorgons) given their reason for rebellion. If the reason this didn't happen is the continued presence of their primarch and his enforcement of the practice, then we should've seen an internal rebellion(overcoming the genetic disposition for loyalty) as it happened in other legions upon turning traitor. But again nothing, quite odd...
@batteredwarrior9 ай бұрын
That wasn't why they rebelled. They rebelled because thry were never shown any gratitude for their victories... They were never celebrated, and often the Imperial Fists got credit for the work done by the IVth.

For who are we to judge the will of the emperor and its many glories. Awesome adition, yet i question the choice of making the music dictate the nature of the *facts* , instead of keeping it as a support to reinforce the strengths of dialogue. As you tell the story, you are impartial, ....ambiant sounds should reflect this? love your work though :)
