Piano Version by Patrik Pietschmann
As I announced in my last video, I've put together a new list of arrangements that I plan to work on in the coming months. This list also includes works by composers I haven’t focused on before. However, I will continue to include my own compositions as well. While my original pieces allow me to express my own emotions and identity through music, arranging the works of other composers who inspire me broadens my musical horizons.
In this video, I’m excited to dive into the work of a composer whose music I’ve admired for years but haven’t yet featured on my channel: Iván Torrent. Like Thomas Bergersen, Torrent specializes in epic, cinematic music that blends orchestral and electronic elements. However, Torrent’s style leans more toward electronic music compared to Bergersen. For this video, I have dedicated myself to his most famous track, "Human Legacy", from his 2014 album "Reverie". This composition embodies everything I love about cinematic music: a captivating main melody, ethereal vocals, epic strings and brass, and pulsating electronic elements. I hope you enjoy my piano version!

Hallo Patrik, super Arrangement von dir. Besser geht es nicht! Wie immer perfekt gespielt und ein toller Sound. Visuell ist es auch sehr schön. Mir gefällt der Farbton sehr. Ich kannte diesen Komponisten nicht, aber meines Erachtens ist er ein großartiger Komponist nach deinem Video. In 03:43 war der Effekt nach dem langem cis-Moll zum Cis-Dur sehr gelungen. Das Stück kenne ich noch gar nicht! Geschweige denn Ivan Torrent… Die Synthese von Synthesizer- und Orchesterelementen, von der du in der Beschreibung sprichst, klingt aber definitiv vielversprechend! Dementsprechend war es für mich ganz neu, mal eines deiner Arrangements zu hören, ohne das zugrundeliegende Original zu kennen. Macht nichts, denn die Stärke deiner Arrangements liegt ja bekanntlich in ihrem Eigenwert. ;-) Ich kann dir nur immer wieder sagen, wie fantastisch der Piano-Sound klingt! Ich fand insb. die Passage ab 1:59 Klasse! Der Triller, als fast schon konstitutives Element für “Human Legacy”, der immer wieder durch verschiedene Harmonien untermalt wird, hat’s mir besonders angetan. Der Schluss ist der Hammer! My favorite of yours is Dystopia, followed by The Dark Knight theme and every Star Wars piece you have arranged. If you are thinking of arranging another Star Wars piece in the future, I would love for Grand Admiral Thrawn's theme by Sean Kiner to be your next one. It is, besides Vader's theme, my favorite Star Wars piece and I've always wanted a Patrik piano arrangement of it!
