I have the 2017 Anyroad 2 with 32mm Continental gatorskin roadbiketires. Im just as fast as i am on my Carbon roadbike but just much and much more comfortable. Very fun to ride and it looks fucking awesome.

Hey Ivanhoe, if I understand correctly, you said in the video that a wider tire could potentially be installed in lieu of the 28 mm tire? Do you think 32 mm would fit here or would that be too wide?

With disc brakes, you don't need to worry about a fatter tyre not fitting in the brake calipers. But if the rim is too thin, you might end up with "hot air balloon" shape of the tyre

I'm not sure of the exact weight difference, but I can tell you that the CoMax is lighter :-)

That I know already :) weight for me is a big thing so I would to know, thing is no bike shows over here in WA have got the stock and range that you guys would have being in the eastern states Also a 28c tyre is not wide enough really.

@@jasonswift7098 28mm is not wide enough for what sort of riding exactly? I've got 25mm on a normal drop bar road bike and personally it's sufficiently comfortable for most surfaces, except the roughest WA coarse chip gravel. That still gives a real buzz through the handlebars and your backside!

Other than the handlebars, what's the main differences between the FastRoad and the AnyRoad bikes?

Only handlebar and tires are the main differents. On SLR 1 you can mount only one bottle holder instead of two at the frame.

Hi siemenssx1, it's not a good idea to take road bikes off-road, but if you're talking about bumped closed-surface roads, it would be fine. Road bikes can definitely carry loads too. Just make sure they're fitted with the right kind of rack at the rear.

The SLR 1 is unusual because they let you bolt a front pannier rack to carbon fiber

Hi Cosmo, The difference is the frame. SLR is the ALUXX SLR superlight aluminium frame made by Giant. CoMax is a mix of carbon fibre and fibre-reinforced polymer. Giant reckon the CoMax is a bit lighter and more responsive than aluminium frames, hence the slightly more expensive price point. They're both awesome though.
