私は韓国人ですが、この曲を聴いて思わず苦笑せざるを得ませんでした。IVEは曲の冒頭と中盤に坂本龍一の代表的なメロディを唐突に繰り返し配置しましたが、それは曲全体との有機的な「文脈」を欠いたまま挿入されたに過ぎません。この「短く切り取られた」メロディは、聴衆の耳を引きつけるための手段として利用されたのみで、薄っぺらく単調なMIDIサウンドに変えられ、曲全体の中で消耗的に扱われています。 こうした手法はサンプリングの効果を高めようとする意図が見えるものの、結果的に原曲の叙情性や情感を歪め、曲そのものの品格までも傷つけています。つまり、坂本龍一の芸術的で叙情的なメロディを「TikTok風の安っぽい中国製サウンド」のように冒頭や中盤で使い捨て、その後は曲の構成の中で何の役割も果たさないまま放置されています。これは、あたかもオープニングセールの際に、客を引きつけるために店内の雰囲気と全く合わない有名ブランドの商品を粗末な包装で配布するような状況を想起させます。 私の意見は批判的なものかもしれませんが、多くの韓国人の反応も同様です。「原曲をどうしてあんな風に使うのか」と驚きや困惑を感じている声が多いです。これはIVE自体を責めるのではなく、作曲家やIVEの所属事務所の安易な態度が問題視されているのです。
