Completely stuck in the 70's , refuses to adopt to changing business landscapes. Shocking positioning with Lumen, Vimeo, Deltic timber, the list of mistakes goes on and on. These folks are the definition of value-trap investors, charging fees for doing nothing to your investments returns. An SP500 Index fund will surely beat the returns of this fund in going forward

Their Long Leaf Partners fund is something to behold. With a 20 yr annualized compound return of, drum roll please, 5.25% compared to the S/P 500 9.84%. The cherry on top is that they take a well deserved 1.00% Expense fee. So a 4.25% NOMINAL return, subtract out inflation of 2.5% annually over the 20 years and your left with a 1.75% real rate of return...
