Abidjan is a compact beautiful city with narrow intracity arterial roads and carriageways. I say beautiful because to some people, the beauty of a city is defined by high-rise buildings and skyscrapers. To others, it is about amenities, space, landscapes and greenery. I have always maintained that all African cities are beautiful in their unique ways. Kudos, Ivoriens.

If you are so much better, why feel the need to come here and compare your cities? And im saying this as a half Nigerian myself, the only insecure people we see here trying to bash this beautiful country are Nigerians, not even Ghanaians. We were supposed to be competing with South korea, Singapore, which we had more GDP than in the 60s, but due to mediocrity and corruption, here we are, fighting against countries with lest than half our current GDP on who have better cities.

It's always Nigerians with their insecurities. Ghanaians don't care if Abidjan is better than Accra. When Nigerians watch a beautiful video of other countries they feel attacked and they begin to talk trash about the city

As a Ghanaian, I'd like to express how happy and glad other West African countries look. Wish Ghana concentrates more on landscaping design, roads and green spaces as seen by our close neighbours. Well done cote d'ivoire

@@yahwada649 boss chill. I never made comparisons with how green each country was. I never made comparisons in the first place. A space can be green but it needs to be designed and controlled. I'm a Ghanaian. I've stayed in this country my whole life. I've seen what incompetency and lack of maintenance culture has done to our cities. There's no appealing design in majority of our cities landscaping. Don't get me wrong, Accra has its beautiful sides, but I know you agree that design, planning, and creativity goes a long way.

@@yahwada649 massa stop the fooling and listen to sense. Stop acting like the alata people we love to insult. I don't need to prove anything to you boss. We Ghanaians are not perfect. We still have a long way to go. If you state otherwise, then I wonder who should be accusing who of being a fake Ghanaian. Do you like the way our streets are designed? With all the pot holes and broken down pavements and signboards and posters everywhere. I'm not saying there isn't any work being done. But to me, its similar to laying and straightening your bed whilst your floor is a cluttered mess. If we don't speak about these things, they won't change for all of us to enjoy. Be there and be fooling yourself. Jon boy

@saturninazangon2123 stop being naive. How can u compare Abuja to Abidjan? The Africa's tallest building is in Abidjan. A massive metro train is under construction in Abidjan, and it will have more stops (stations). Abidjan is the New York City in West Africa. Y'all Nigerians may talk back, but most y'all know that Abidjan ain't a joke.

@@kriskros1592 It is not by tall buildings. And mind you, Abuja is a new city compared to Abidjan. Abuja has an interstate standard gauge rail system that connects to other states and a metrorail system that runs within Abuja and currently, expansion of the metrorail underground system that will connect more districts of Abuja is under construction.

@Southernview3k Abidjan is the most developed city in West Africa, whether u like it or not. Ain't no argument here. I've been to both cities, and I know what I'm talking about, na'mean? Forget tall buildings, Abidjan can not be compared to Abuja. Abuja is intentionally planned not to include sky scrappers. So you can't use sky scrappers as yardstick. Abuja is by far a better planned city, the roads are wider and modern. The buildings are new, painted and sparkling. The street are green. Apart from highrise buildings and cluster of buildings, Abidjan is behind Abuja in many aspects.

@@jeangouho2571 You people are funny. The city center of Abuja, that is 6 times bigger than the plateau of Abidjan, which includes destricts like Central Business destricts, Garki, Garki 2, Wuse, Wuse 2, Asokoro, Maitama, Guzape, Gwarimpa, Kado, Jabi, Utako, Wuye, Karempe, life camp, Idu industrial, etc, have great 24 runing water from state water board. Only the hundreds of Estates and the numerous settlements that are built at the outskirts of the city, use bore holes for water source. Electricity is a general Nigeria's problem because it is given to every nook and cranny of the country, unliike some African countries that only concentrates Electricity to only the cities, and also, Nigeria's Electricity is also given to some neibouring countries. So our Electricity gets rationed and is not 24 hours nonstop. But most Abuja residents have many sources of power, Electricity, solar, Inverters, etc. So most Abuja homes have power for 24 hours. As for transportation, it is clear that the government of Abuja has banned motorcycles, tricycles and mini buses from plying the street of Abuja, but we have numerous private taxies, coaster buses and luxurious buses runing the streets of the city. We do not have problem of transportation in Abuja. There is also a metro train service runing from the city center down to the airport Which is 30km away. When you want to see beauty of a well planned city in Africa, Abuja is number 1 anytime.

Ivory coast supply electricity to liberia, sierra leone, guinée conakry, mali, burkina faso, ghana, togo and benin and we do not face light off or people are not using generetors for electricity. another fact is that we are in a top 10 countries with best quality road network including abidjan. kzbin.info?search_query=top+10+countries+with+best+roads+in+africa kzbin.info/www/bejne/gmnSnXZ4i5h8pLM kzbin.info/www/bejne/Z6m9iXZ6drR1rMk In last link you will see the rank of your Nigeria in africa in terms of road network infrasructure.
