Abidjan is a compact beautiful city with narrow intracity arterial roads and carriageways. I say beautiful because to some people, the beauty of a city is defined by high-rise buildings and skyscrapers. To others, it is about amenities, space, landscapes and greenery. I have always maintained that all African cities are beautiful in their unique ways. Kudos, Ivoriens.

If you are so much better, why feel the need to come here and compare your cities? And im saying this as a half Nigerian myself, the only insecure people we see here trying to bash this beautiful country are Nigerians, not even Ghanaians. We were supposed to be competing with South korea, Singapore, which we had more GDP than in the 60s, but due to mediocrity and corruption, here we are, fighting against countries with lest than half our current GDP on who have better cities.

Forget tall buildings, Abidjan can not be compared to Abuja. Abuja is intentionally planned not to include sky scrappers. So you can't use sky scrappers as yardstick. Abuja is by far a better planned city, the roads are wider and modern. The buildings are new, painted and sparkling. The street are green. Apart from highrise buildings and cluster of buildings, Abidjan is behind Abuja in many aspects.

please just give to us aspects that's your are talking about. Do you have in Abuja power supply 24hx24. Tell us about public transportation (own by governement) in abuja. Do not forget water supply.

@@jeangouho2571 You people are funny. The city center of Abuja, that is 6 times bigger than the plateau of Abidjan, which includes destricts like Central Business destricts, Garki, Garki 2, Wuse, Wuse 2, Asokoro, Maitama, Guzape, Gwarimpa, Kado, Jabi, Utako, Wuye, Karempe, life camp, Idu industrial, etc, have great 24 runing water from state water board. Only the hundreds of Estates and the numerous settlements that are built at the outskirts of the city, use bore holes for water source. Electricity is a general Nigeria's problem because it is given to every nook and cranny of the country, unliike some African countries that only concentrates Electricity to only the cities, and also, Nigeria's Electricity is also given to some neibouring countries. So our Electricity gets rationed and is not 24 hours nonstop. But most Abuja residents have many sources of power, Electricity, solar, Inverters, etc. So most Abuja homes have power for 24 hours. As for transportation, it is clear that the government of Abuja has banned motorcycles, tricycles and mini buses from plying the street of Abuja, but we have numerous private taxies, coaster buses and luxurious buses runing the streets of the city. We do not have problem of transportation in Abuja. There is also a metro train service runing from the city center down to the airport Which is 30km away. When you want to see beauty of a well planned city in Africa, Abuja is number 1 anytime.
