I just received this foundation today. Same thing happened around my mouth and nose 😒 the way you described painting an elastic band is spot on! I used to have acne like you. It's just been in the last year that I've got it under control for the most part, but I have alot of scarring/pitting and redness left and most foundations sit and breakup weird on my chin like this

I agree with you on the concealer part. I tested this foundation and used it with my normal concealer I use and setting powder , and a few hours later , the area where my concealer was and around my nose looked weird and this cc cream looked cakey on me. I took it off and put on my favorite foundation and my skin looked better lol 😂

I really appreciate how you do a 2 day test. I feel that you almost always have to make some tweaks to find the best combos of base, concealer and powder to work together the best. Sorry you had to put pants on to do a return...lol. Yours is the 6th review of this product I've watch. 2 with dry or normal/dry skin and 3 with normal or normal/T-zone oil. Of the 3 people who like the cream, 2 used a makeup sponge even though I believe it recommends applying with a brush and neither of them used a primer. One person did a review, where it went on a favorite list, but not an actual application/test video, so I don't know what she did. They all have the more normal skin. The person with the super dry skin used a primer and a brush to apply. She said it felt tight especially on her forehead at the 2 1/2 hour mark and also didn't like how it was wearing. She actually gave up and was going to go wash her face (which I've never seen) at around 6 1/2 - 7 hours because it was so uncomfortable on her skin. I'll watch a couple more videos, but it seems that the 'rules' to liking this are have close to normal skin, no primer and apply with a sponge. I'm curious though, do you really expect to not have to do anything to your foundation when you have oily skin? My nose and chin are oily and I expect I'm going to have to resmooth and powder the product down every 3 - 4 hours if I want to look fresh.

Hi! So I agree that with foundations, you'll always have to play around with the base and application to find out what works best with that foundation. In regards to not having to do anything to foundation, you'd be surprised but A LOT of people don't want to be bothered to touch up their base once they've applied it. Now I personally don't mind if I have to touch up once or twice in a day, but it is always nice if I don't have to do it at all (and I do have quite a few foundations that need NO touch ups once applied). I also take into consideration how badly and how quickly the foundation breaks up. If at the end of the day, it's looks a little worn, that's expected and acceptable. But if that happens at say the 4-5 hour mark, I'm less likely to trust it because I have plenty of foundations that don't do that, and would rather reach for those. I hope this helps!

@@IvoryCherry Yes, definitely. I know I won't continue using something that doesn't work properly. And I'm really not talking about breaking up too much when I say resmooth, but when you have oil, I find that I will have a bit of creasing around my nostrils or in the dip in my chin. So it's blot off the oil, use your finger to pat/smooth it and then pressing in some powder to cover it. I can't imagine never having to do that.

This is so interesting I'm 6 months post Accutane and basically normal skin now whereas before I was super oily. This works great for me, lasts all day and sits well. Funny how chemistry and skin composition is make or break for products.

I’ve always wondered what makes some people oily and some dry as a bone like me. I think one would be just as frustrating as the other, one has to blot though out the day, the other has to mist all day long to feel comfortable. I was super excited for this product but the creasing and flaking is just insane. It doesn't hold up throughout the day at all and dries out the skin (just from my experience )

i just think you use the brush in a wrong way,because sponges are known to absorb the product and its not as full coverage as the brush,you tend to drag your brush around your face when you could just gently tap :)) i love your reviews btw

hi! I do a combo of swiping and tapping with a brush but I'm telling you a microfiber sponge is DIFFERENT than a beauty blender or any other sponge. I have sponges from soo many brnds and I agree they absorb product but NOT the microfiber sponge. it seriously makes a hugeee difference I've gotten so many people to try it and they all say it's life changing haha

I do wear sunscreen everyday lol. I am taking medication for my acne that makes me sensitive to light so I use spf 50 everyday whether I wear makeup or not

I think the foundation is over hyped. I’m older and I don’t like the foundation it makes my wrinkles stand out and it is very difficult to apply it doesn’t spread very well.

I have combo skin, and I just don’t get the hype of this foundation. I don’t like it at all. It’s too “makeup-ey) feeling and for the summer, it’s just too heavy feeling for the face IMO.

Same. Idk what I'm doing wrong. I find the only foundation I can wear without my face looking like a total nightmare is the Revlon colorstay. I've recently up'ed my moisturizer as well, so now I'm applying it EVERYDAY and I also switched to cerave moisturizer. I use the night one at night (It's thicker and super super moisturizing) and their day one for day, (that one is very thin, close to water like consistency) and wow, that has done WONDERS!!!!! I still don't have a super smooth non cakey face tho, but my God using those products have done wonders!

This is such a fail product … I have used as many as 20+ foundations/bb or tinted moisturizer … and my skin never looked this bad with wrong shades or other issue
