They were the legal experts, and so I accepted that strategy, even though I knew what I had done was wrong.” The mother is selfish and destroyed this young man's life. Growing up under a physically abusive father is a nightmare. One day my mother ran into my room to escape from my dad and he turned on me because I stood in between them. At 18, I had had it with his utterly disruptive, destructive behavior. (He had resigned a good corporate job one decade earlier, turned jobless and was in the throes of all sorts of midlife crises.) I was mad, it had been a tough, tough day, and I hit back viciously. He moved out after a week and when months later I travelled to the farm (to where he had moved) to attend my grandad's funeral, he called me aside and apologetic, said he'd told no one about the fight and added that he realized I was a man now. He's 82 now, grand old man, ailing a bit. Presently at the family home in Nairobi. (The village is too tough for him staying there alone) I see him often.

I wish I could have fought back against my step-father. He had arms like tree trunks and was built like a weight lifter because of the hard physical labor he did for years in his father's businesses growing up. I was tall and big too, but I didn't have his muscles. Even when he was 60 I doubt I could have beaten him. He never would have taken me aside and realized I was a man now. He kept grudges forever, like a small child. He was crazy.

Dang . Usually a mother would lie to take up for their son , she was and is very selfish

I don’t believe the mother capable of fighting her husband herself.

Look it is Sandra Doorley, the above the law DA from Rochester who refused to stop for the traffic cop. Pity the poor defendants that have to deal with that loud mouth, super entitled witch of a prosecutor.

Oh yeah! I thought that her name sounded familiar! I guess Jean drove her to drive drunk 😂

Good call. Now that u mentioned it, it came back to me when I saw that KZbin video of Doorley refusing to pull her vehicle over with the cop right on her tail, “lighting her up.” Boy, that incident made her out to look like one condescending, entitled “B-word”, just because she happens to be the DA for Rochester, NY. She of all people should know she’s not “above the law.”

I was really repulsed by the prosecutors. It's their job to ensure justice is seen, not to assume his guilt before it's even been tested in a court of law. They acted like they were upset they couldn't go after him. Didn't respect that.

Damn, she's not right then.

Everything she's ever prosecuted should be thrown out her behavior that day showed how devious she could be and who knows how many innocent people she has in jail.
