I'm curious, what does one hear about "life at Princeton"? From what I have heard from students and parents, is that it is great (e.g., the professors, school spirit, resources, campus architecture, and undergrad focus). It doesn't have professional schools like the other ivies but consistently manages to rank super-high. Also, for STEMophiles, its math, physics, and PNI-Bioengineering programs are either leading departments or enjoying an upswing of momentum. And this is to say nothing of what Princeton offers to students not focused on STEM fields. Why throw mocking shade to arguably the most Ivy university in the Ivy League? On a different note, best wishes going forward in your (and Pratik's) career.

Hey Rishab, is becoming an ISEF finalist really good as an award? What if I’m just a finalist and don’t win an award at ISEF? And would my project be also considered an EC as well? I’m not sure how highly valued it is as compared to other stuff (I’m interested in CS and might compete in USACO). Honestly not sure what CS stuff other people do and ISEF/research projects seem like the only thing I’ve seen online that are really big (other than USACO? Having trouble finding more substantial EC’s awards for CS. I’m a rising Soph. Btw!

Most people don’t aspire to Ivy League. In fact, as a high school teacher, I found most kids want to go to a school that meets their needs and is close to home. You can get an excellent education without going to an ivy. This narcissistic motivation is weird. It’s also disappointing to see you trashing the majority of schools. Dookie doo doo? That says quite a bit about you as a person. As a parent of an actually brilliant student, I’d rather her be a good person than whatever this is.

I found you because my daughter just qualified to ISEF. We were seeking help with her materials. This arrogance is making me think twice about letting her go. Why would I want her around this mentality? Believe it or not, we are from North Dakota! And although she likely won’t go to school there, I would support her if she wanted to. Schools have educational specialities that draw people who have specific goals and aren’t trying to compensate for other insecurities. North Dakota has the top aviation school in the country, that’s why people go there. Maybe you should do some research and quit only looking at schools where everyone is exactly like you: snobs.
