I think you will find a lot of people do have them, they’re just not shown for “aesthetics and vibes” My kids have neutral, calm rooms but have a dedicated play room that is in abundance of bright and fun toys!

That’s kind of where the market is at tho… manufacturers dropped the bright colors (for nurseries) and started making everything browns and grays.

Love the room, but is there not a few things here that aren’t SIDS safe? The canopy and decorations above the cot??? I understand each to their own, but awareness around this is so important and not spoken about enough

Georgie did mention that she knows the canopy isn’t safe for Ivy once she starts rolling around/getting a bit older and she will move it when that times come? I guess if her head is at the opposite end of the cot and her feet are closest to the canopy it shouldn’t be an issue right now?

@@julesr3066 the canopy is a risk once they begin moving/ rolling of suffocation or them getting stuck etc. Also it’s not advised to have things on the wall above the cot that can fall in, as this may also pose a SIDS risk. I work in this sector so am very passionate about education, particularly if people are unaware of the risks 😊

If you actually listen to what she is saying in the first 4 mins of the video she clearly states the toys/decorations are not in her cot when she sleeps and the canopy will be moved out of the way when it becomes a danger for Ivy. Im a mum of 3 and hate reading comments like this. She is aware about safe sleep and SIDS no need to make any additional comments on it. Different story if she didnt know but she clearly does.

@@ivanajosic2865 yeah absolutely she spoke about the canopy and the toys, but there is more than that. She also has cot bumpers in her cot that are not in this video. I understand she might be aware of some but there are so many more that she hasn’t addressed. Education is prevention for SIDS, and that’s not even in regards to her. So many people are unaware of the risks associated to these things until it’s too late, or they watch someone YT video, and think that must be okay. So yeah all I’m saying is that she might not be aware of the other things, and if she is that’s great!
