I’m in the same situation.. we live in California and entire family is east coast so no help and two babies. Only have my husbands help but we still get no alone time lol it’s HARD. My wife & I live in the springs rn & we’re building a house here too. So exciting you’ll be here!! I mean we don’t know you personally but still lmao it’ll be great here for you! Also- we drove here from Washington state and the drive is not that bad! It’s fairly easy tbh. Nothing crazy at all!

Happy for you. Living in a country without publicly financed childcare must make life so much more difficult, especially for single parents. In my country, the monthly fee for childcare is about 2.5% of the household income, maximized to $150/month. For 2nd and 3rd child it's 1% or maximum $70/month. Typically kindergartens are accepting children from 12 months to 6 yo for up to 10 hours, while parents are working. It sounds expensive for taxpayers, but making it easy for parents to work is actually better, it increases the total income in the society. And the kindergartens are really good, with well educated staff (each kindergarten will have staff with university degrees in childcare and other staff with college degrees in childcare)
