I enjoy my medico meerschaum lined pipes. One of which I have FROM YOU! (Thank you sir) My only gripe is they get heavy to clench! 🤪🤪🤪🤪😂😂😂😂

Tim, great job as always. I really admire and respect your attention to detail. I had an idea on cleaning the meerschaum…have not tried this but thought about it as you were sanding and scrubbing the liner. I wonder what would happen if you used a little baking soda solution(or maybe a whitening toothpaste) …would that hurt the meerschaum or the briar…just a thought. Great video as always.

Thank you for watching. I have never tried baking soda but might be worth a try. I appreciate the comment.

The lined pipes never made sense to me. The briar walls are probably too thin but have you ever had to smash it out or would you then attempt to press a new layer in?!

how do you bring the logos back
@The_Southland_Piper7 ай бұрын
If the stamped logo is still in good shape then you can fill it in with a Lacquer-Stik Paintstick. Available from Amazon

Were those lined pipes a fad at one time?

And why does Meerschaum not like alcohol?
@The_Southland_Piper7 ай бұрын
Meerschaum lined pipes are still available and are quite popular. The lined pipe is more heat resistant than a briar pipe and more durable than block meerschaum pipes.
@The_Southland_Piper7 ай бұрын
@@robertcornelius3514 Block meerschaum can stand up to some alcohol but pressed meerschaum used in lined pipes will start to disintegrate. Just as a good rule of thumb, I never expose meerschaum to alcohol.
