***** Yes, but it wasn't about acknowledging all the great countries, it was about talking about the future of Olympic Weightlifting and how Weightlifting has touched even the poorest and war-torn countries like Mexico and shown how the future is bright with Weightlifting. Also, to mention the Chinese and Russians (because they are currently the masters of Weightlifting) is only suitable, and finally to not mention the US at all in regards to Weightlifting is just out of respect for the sport and not sugar coating reality, because when you swallow that cup of pride, its not hard to see that the US is fucking garbage at anything besides Gymnastics, Track and Field, and coming in second for every time in hockey.

How many Olympic medals have we brought home in the 21st century? @Benaddicted11trkfbal8 жыл бұрын
bubbletea8888 If you ask the average American what Olympic weightlifting is,99 percent of the time they will have no clue. It has nothing to do with American's capabilities or leg strength. We have a big enough population to pull athletes and make them world champs in any sport, Only if we prioritize them. Why do you think china is so good at weightlifting? Because its not just about strength. Its about having a ton of people to choose from, For example, China has over a billion people living in it. The most populous place on earth. They train their athletes from an extremely young age, and pick the best ones from a young age to train for the Olympics. Has less to do with genetics, more to do with having a large selection and high priority. Our Athletes go were the money is, and don't specifically train to squat the most amount of weight like you mentioned earlier. Our athletes go to the MLB, NBA, NFL, some even to NHL. This is were the money is
