IWI Masada 9mm Handgun Review - Is this the Israeli Glock?

I just recently picked up the Tactical Masada and it shoots awesome right out of the box. After tax, I paid just over $400 and it's worth every penny.

This pistol came out in 2018. Its selling points were, it's price, optics ready, fully ambi, and it's "modularity". Five years later, neither IWI nor anyone else has made a single grip module for it.

It doesn't need it. It came out with the slim. I guess they figured it would never be as popular as Sigs module guns. For the price point, they can't be beat. They're not cheaply made looking guns. Think hi-point. They're reliable, chew up everything, nice trigger, accurate, feel good in the hands of most. Like I said, for the price, they beat Glock. Sights are better too. Some say they shoot low. That's because IWI sets them the way the Israelis shoot. Combat hold. Sig sights compatible. There are parts out there for them. Holsters too. I use mine for home defense. It's more than capable for a carry gun. I don't use it as such, I have other options such as my Sig 365 TACOPS. Go buy one. Full size with the 4 inch barrel or the Slim which I can't find. They're not popular for whatever reason, but I see that as a plus for the price.

Im not surprised in the least you love the APX, I think Beretta hit it out of the park... again. Curious if you've tried the PX4 Storm? It's another innovative pistol line from the company, and though it's a bit chunky, I find it to be very elegantly designed... and the rotating bolt design really helps tame recoil. Yes, I am a major Beretta fan boy! I like the grading system you use on your reviews, and appreciate the lack of pomp and BS in your presentations. Keep up the good work, gentlemen!

If the mag release is too stiff, shave about 1/16” off the elastomer core in the mag release spring, and it will work tremendously well, when you hit it the mag will come right out. I did that on mine and it made a world of difference.

We won't purchase anything from PSA. They advertised the APX A1 full size for sale with the Burris reddit included. When the gun arrived it didn't have the Burris red dot included. They blamed Beretta for the issue. Long story short they refused any type of discount. We weren't the only ones affected. There's many reviews complaining of the same type of issue. It clearly was advertised with the red dot and they refused to honor there advertised deal. Just FYI. Thanks again for sharing this video.

Great gun for the price point, got mine in a cardboard box for under $400. Looks, feels and shoots great but my only the complaint is the mag release sucks.

My dealer hooks me up, it was $420. I bought one a month ago from a gun store I've never been to, in Florida, and they sold it to me for 400 even brand-new in-the-box with everything and a 50 pack of Sellers and belliott 9mm fmj 115 grain ammo

Yes, the _IWI Masada_ is a *Glock 17/19* close copy. This pistol is similar to other Glock clones. It was developed to grab some of Glock Inc. market share. This is a gun marketing video by the gun industry to promote the Masada. *Note:* being a Glock copy the Masada, CZ P10, MC1/MC2, Palmetto, etc. probably are good guns _but_ why get a copy when you can get the original?

It is not a copy, I mean the cars are copies too ,because they look like each other. I don't believe it. why buy only glock when there is a diversity of brands that are equally good or better, why only buy Toyota when there are Isuzo, Ford, Mitsubishi, equally good 😊

I owned IW Masada since 3/20. I put tactical sights on it that co exist with the Vortex Venom Red Dot I installed. This was my first pistol I purchased after I got my pistol license. I qualified with it for the Florida License. When I retire from NY in about 3 years will carry concealed in a nice holster I purchased made by the Israelis in a 2A friendly state. So fun to shoot and accurate The IDF carries it and sure help protect Israeli citizens from terrorists.

If you settled on back strap size put on a Talon grip. Made all the difference in the world.

There are many underrated pistols just like this one in this price range. Some with modular trigger controls as well. They all they never earned the respect or sales they deserved but maybe just an over saturated market? Not a fan of fully ambi mag release. Never works well... just ask cz p-10 gen 1 owners.

I love it. I did have to send it back for a fix as after about 6000 rounds the rear site came loose and no matter what I did I couldn't get it to stay. Hoping to get it back soon.

I don’t think this is a Israeli Glock. I think its an Israeli Beretta APX. I have and love a Beretta APX full size. I would probably like the Masada as well

I've had this gun for little over a year. Great gun. Shoots smooth, easily controllable recoil, 500 rounds no issues. Only problem is I can't seem to find a holster for it that would contain the weapon with optic and light. Any suggestions?

I have a leather owb that works with optic on that also has built in mag pouch. It's a little snug at first but loosens up with time. It's by relentless tactical. Fits most full sized handguns.

I have two leather holsters for mine. IWB and OWB. Both from Falco Holsters. Select brand of light, select optic. They fit like a glove.

Not it's real price. Got mine for 420, not including taxes of course. You might even find it for lower if you wait and look around. Great gun. Not just for the price either. I've watched others say about the magazine release or the magazines not dropping. I had the same issue with my Glock 23. The magazines wouldn't drop until I'd put 200 hundred rounds through it. The button itself on the Masada just takes getting familiar with. My new house gun. Buy it already.
