Im gonna hijack your comment and say that i got lucky by getting two yelans, one qiqi and one aqua simulacra in 130 pulls. First yelan 50/50, then qiqi :c, then guaranteed yelan. Aqua simulacra was not guaranteed either lol. I prefarmed her, so weapon and characther are lvl 90, and her talents are 9-9-10. At a glance, i must say its really fun to play with her. I also prefarmed artifacts for quite a while, and being able to do just over 10k per arrow its so damn satisfying. I have to admit though. Im barely able to reach 10k-12k(at 18% hp boost from passive), so for anyone thinking its going to be easy, its not. You will have an easier time if you utilize her hp% passive and resonance though. I was able to balance my yelan at 170~ER(which is just enough at C1), ~60crit and ~230critdmg and 36k hp(at 18% boost from passive). So yea, i could make it better (+200~ more in avg, dmg.), by increasing critrate, or i could run her in a team that fully uses her passive, but that just goes to show that baseline 10k arrows in a good build isnt exactly easy to reach, unless you completly ditch ER, which is NOT a good idea, even with C1. I had some fun with her in a frozen team in Abyss 12. She is really fun. Best of luck in pulls!

Yes and imo Fav bow is the best 4* weapon and should be rated 4 star above as it doesn't only resolve her own ER requirement but also can help battery her teammates and of course that ER stat can help boost the Emblem's 4 pc effect.

Thats true but using emblem can solve ur yelan er ( and this is why yelan C1 so good, double e make ur ER more lower and u can focus on CRT ). And if u use xinqiu with yelan ur ER can be lower and can be focus on CRT

You can focus almost all your substats on hp, crit rate and crit dmg which make fav better than aqua imo. Aqua I'd only playable if u have yelan c1 as the er requirements become ridiculous otherwise

@@navneetremanand8281 False. The amount of crit dmg on aqua let you focus on more ER on your artifacts because Aqua is a 5* weapon with the lowest base atk, which is perfect for Yelan. Although I won't deny that the favonius is awesome on her and will save primogems that player might potentially spend on the weapon banner.

Fav and Elegy should honestly have a higher rating. The EM team buff from elegy along with the high ER substat make Yelan much better in reaction teams that care about EM, for other teams Fav bow just has so much utility with very little downside for Yelan. The usual downside of Fav bow is that it has low base attack, Yelan doesn't care about this at all. It also makes her ER requirements incredibly small, meaning those ER rolls in artifacts can go to HP or Crit rolls to make up the damage. Once you dive deeper into theorycrafting you realise how broken fav actually is LOL

Fav is probably the best bow after her signature Aqua Simulacra. Aqua is better because it's a flat out bigger stat sticks. It's worth more crit dmg rolls than fav is worth ER rolls. Other than that fav is much better than something like Skyward Harp. Better than polar star as well.

regarding her artifacts. Yes, with 2 tenacity 2 HoD you get more damage on her E. But the effect raises when you attack a lot of enemies. If you have particular floors with a lot of enemies, you will definitely deal much more damage. + her BTB deals AOE damage. Where with Emblem you only raise her burst damage, which deals damage to one target. My go would still be for 2+2

I totally agree that C1 is 5 slimes out of 5. It indeed feels like one of the best quality-of-life constellations I've seen in this game. I know people talk about overworld exploration, and that's definitely true, but I'm more interested in the combat aspect of it: - Deals decent dmg, especially vs smaller mobs (one shots most hilichurls for example). In Spiral Abyss, this means you can kill a wave, then kill the next wave using just a skill on one character. - Makes 3 particles for each use. These days, she's my go-to battery out in the overworld for filling up people's energy when I revive someone, regardless of their element, she's just so much better at it than most others BECAUSE of C1. So many particles in just a few seconds. - Saves on stamina compared to sprinting, VERY good when paired with a melee carry (I'm looking at you Hu Tao C0 or Klee) - Instant Hydro application. Very nice to immediately follow up with Cryo or Pyro for a freeze/vape. - Knocks smaller enemies into the air and sucks them towards the center. Great crowd control, but also interrupts them. Can easily use a different character, swap to her, knock them over, swap back, then repeat to neutralize them a second time because you have two charges. It seriously makes most overworld encounters a joke. The enemies literally can't do anything. Having two charges is STRONG. - It activates FAST and moves quickly, which lets you weave around enemies with ease (allows you to easily dodge some nasty stuff, especially for boss encounters). Having the option to zip away at a moments notice and not have to worry about reserving stamina for that purpose is super nice. - Lastly, you don't have to use them both. That's probably pretty obvious, but what I mean is that: you still have one in reserve and the other one is recharging, as opposed to C0 where once you use it, you have to wait before you can do it again (it's either available or it's not). But with C1, you can spread them out, either use them in quick succession or have some delay, but either way, you often have at LEAST one you can use at a moments notice. It turns it from "a nice skill I might want to save" to "I can use it even though it's recharging." C1 creates a ton of flexibility and makes the overall uptime significantly better.

For a complete guide I would really like to see a comparison between hydro and HP cup. This is important because HP cup is really, really easy to get compared to hydro. Us non-whales need to decide between an HP cup with 30+ crit value vs a hydro cup with crap stats. In this case XQ wants the same set too!

HP cup is ok if: - you have godly substats on a HP cup compared to your hydro cup options ; - you have elemental dmg bonus from team and stuff (Kazuha, Aqua Simulacra, etc.)

I think you shouldn't mind using HP cup until you get a hydro cup with some better stats. Because a good hydro cup comes eventually. There's really no reason to include that detail into the video.

It's hard to evaluate without seeing your stats. You can pad HP in so many ways. If you're using an ER sands, Hydro resonance, Aqua, and have a few HP rolls. The hydro cup basically has ~2 extra crit rolls more damage. If you have an HP cup with like 14 more crit value, then go for that one. But hydro cups might be easier to roll since HP can be a substat for a hydro cup. If you already have enough ER (using fav bow or something) and thus using an HP sands as well. Then subsequent HP isnt worth as much. You're looking at 3+ crit rolls worth of advantage for a hydro cup. You can honestly trip over a hydro cup that would be better than the best HP cup.

if anyone was wondering! i used skyward harp on my yelan then switched to stringless (tested the dmg with the exact same build) they both did the exact same dmg but the stringless yelan had 20% less cr and cd :)

Yea not gonna lie the weapon ranking in the video was terrible. Elegy/fav are significantly better for overall damage. Aqua is only good if you have enough er (which can be quite hard to achieve) or if you are whaling on cons/refinements.

I have a c0 yelan .. I got aqua trying to get Homa .. with my build I have around 70cr 210cd 170 energy recharge.. I know it’s generally better to have at least 180-200 recharge .. but do you think if I run favonius on supports I could get away with this build ?

I think you are vastly underestimating how good favonius is on her. It's probably honestly her best weapon overall, not her signature weapon, for MOST teams unless you are funneling her energy like crazy from other units.

It's worth mentioning that 5* weapons (including Aqua) are bait for C0 Yelan, because C0 Yelan has very high ER requirements which can easily be solved with a Favonius Warbow. Aqua Simulacra is probably better to pull if you already have a C1 Yelan, or you run a ton of ER *and* pair her with a Favonius or Sacrificial Xingqiu, however that eliminates the ability to run a solo hydro Yelan.

yea i like having the option to run her on a different abyss team than xinqui, and when i do want to go doube hydro i just leave her on fav and put something else on xingqui like jade cutter etc. Aqua is mostly worth if you also have other bow dps on your account, for example it's basically as strong on tighnari as hunters path, childe, fishl, ganyu yoimiya etc.

@@kameprod5000 r1 c0 can be fine if you run double hydro with sac/fav on xingqui, but in solo hydro yelan its pretty hard. C0 with fav is just so good that u shouldnt feel any fomo to pull, only if u want. Remember fontaine is around the corner with 10+ new units in 2023 :)

The reason was because when her banner first ran, people were saving up for Kazuha’s highly anticipated first re-run since people underestimated him in favor of Sucrose (ironic when you consider that people underestimate Yelan in favor of Xingqiu too). Her first run did pretty well, all things considered.

Yoimiya is actually one of the stronger characters. She got a bad impression due to her state on release and those initial videos coloured all subsequent opinion of her. Much of her early review centered around her being able to vape most of Xingqui's rainswords which was the team at the time. With Yunjin her damage is actually significantly higher than a vape team. She's competitive. At least A tier. Kokomi on the other hand. Literally could be replaced by any hydro healer who applies even a slight amount of hydro (which apparently Barbara can't do so she loses). The bar is incredibly low. Cyno is another ehhh character. Why does he have a 15 second ult???? Or was it 18 seconds? I don't remember, it's just too long. It's not super strong like having Raiden ult for 15 seconds. It's like a weaker ult for a longer duration, you want that right? Do you want a weaker but longer ult so you can outlast your Bennet ult? Mihoyo thought this was a good idea. Eula is also terrible. Other than the C6 damage memes I regret Eula so much. Most bosses do not have 7 second openings for you to even land her ult (closer to 9 seconds if you include animation). But Mika is coming so maybe she would be rounded out but I'm still hating on the backloaded ult.

Yoimyia has a burst that isnt only bad it also doesnt wanna be used because her best artifact set sacrifices energy... bad design if you ask me kokomi burst is only really used to refresh the jellyfish but if you happen to miss the timing which happens alot since there is no HUD info for durations of skills and buffs you just wasted the burst which is really bad design. also -100% crit for 25% healing bonus is a complete insult especially since its a passive which should only really be a net postive.

I watched your video so many times and I saw all the charts still I've a question. For my C0 Yelan who'll just be working as Xingqiu substitute as a burst character, which weapon should I use? As per your chart recurve has higher damage than favonius or sacrificial. That's the 3 weapon I'm considering. I don't have any 5 star weapons. Any response will be highly appreciated. Thank you

I won 5 50/50s in a row and 4 were early for characters that I didn't care about getting and now I saved 60 pulls for Yelan (who I wanted) and 82 pulls in I received my C6 Qiqi

Got Yelan unexpectedly and she’s already shredding everything in her path at lvl 60. I actually feel comfortable trying floor 12 of Spiral Abyss for the first time once I get her to lvl 80. Thanks for the vid. This was helpful

Just realize how Yelans kit is the opposite of Dehya Yelan - Everything works well together, skill buff burst buff skill etc. Just throw random sh*t on artifact and It'll work. Hp, crit, er, em u got it all. All bows work too. Dehya - Skill cant be active during burst, burst cant connect with NA, only for mono pyro, nearly no synergy with other chars too. "Its evolving, just backwards"

If you want some confidence, I got her to c1 during her first run and have been saving for her rerun since. I got her to c4 with the saved primos and thats with me losing back to back 50/50s so I could have had a c6 without spending if I had the luck.

I got pretty lucky with this banner...at first I was happy to get an early pity 5 star at 50 pulls, since that rarely happens for me, but then I lost the 50/50 to Diluc...so while i was internally groaning, I got an even earlier pity with only 30 pulls and I got Yelan. I also managed to get her signature weapon in only 60 pulls. Overall, 140 wishes for 3 5 stars, pretty happy with the outcome *edit* lol... so after some debating, i've decided to go for C2 Yelan.. not really sure if I can call this lucky or not, but here is how my pulls went from the start 64th pull - lost the 50/50 to Diluc 32nd pull - Yelan 5th pull - lost the 50/50 to Mona 68th pull - Yelan - C1 7th pull - lost the 50/50 to Qiqi 24th pull - Yelan - C2 56th pull - Aqua Simulacra total pulls - 260 pulls ( I didn't do single pulls, the odd numbers for the 5 stars were what it would have been if I did single pulls) so... 260 pulls for 7 - 5 Stars.. an average of 37 pulls per 5 star... but I did lose all 3 50/50s.... so I dunno...I feel like its lucky and at the same time not...lol

Great video overall! - but there seems to be something wrong with his weapon chart! How is Fav bow doing so little damage compared to Aqua? Are you perhaps running the same builds (as in, ER sands) to test all weapons? Cause if that's the case I think the comparison would be pretty biased no? The whole point of bows like Fav is to allow her HP% sands. The only reason I noticed this was cause some other TCs rank Elegy and Fav bow much, MUCH higher. Zajef rates Fav bow to be higher than Aqua, for example. Even if this is purely a damage ranking, I think the difference is way too huge and I thought you must be running ER sands. Or maybe I am missing something? I'd like if anyone can confirm or deny that he's using the same builds.

I'd go for 140-160 assuming multitarget. Im assuming your xingqiu is on sac. Aim for the higher end

I actually put favonius lance on Yaoyao and paired her with Nahida for double Hydro and Dendro resonance. Would 140 ER still be the minimum I can build her with or should I still aim for more? In that regard, if I can reach the minimum ER requirement, is it safe to run the 2pc Tenacity and HoD instead of the 4pc Emblem? Thank you in advance for your response. I just got Yelan and I'm still studying how to maximize her potential in her team. :)

I got C2 first re-run with saved primos , got her weapon with the first 10 pull , and then since no character interesting to me came out until now I saved 320+ wishes and used them and got her C6 :D , I use her on a Mona C6 , Yelan C6 , Hu Tao C1 , Diona C6 Team, very functional in a lot of situations

R2 or R5** C stands for Constellation. R stands for Refinement. And the skyward harp is better if you can manage the ER requirement
