How to make Cloud Strife Cosplay Armor

In this video, I make the iconic Final Fantasy 7 Cloud Strife Armor from EVA foam. Note, this is the remake version of the shoulder pad (pauldron) and let me know if you want to see any iterations of the armor.

But before we get started you'll need some supplies to work with craft foam or EVA foam. Here's the Supply list.
1)Barge or DAP contact cement
2)X-acto blade or utility knife
3)Sharpies (permanent markers)
4)chip brush
5)Thumb tacks
6) heat gun
7)5mm EVA foam
8)5/16" EVA Foam
*optional* recommended list
1)steel ruler
2)Dremel
3)Drill press
4)1/2 brass rod (I didn't talk about this in the video but you can use this to make holes on the foam rather than the drill press***)
5) Silver Sharpie (helps trace patterns on black foam)
6) Needles to fix patterns onto foam
Dremel drill bits (Grinding stone)

AWE Me made a Cloud shoulder piece, and instead of using metal bolts, they made their own out of wooden dowels. You should check it out and maybe try yourself to see which method you like most. I really enjoyed this video.

I saw it and it's a great alternative. But i like using the real bolts b/c 1) less work 2) it doesn't get anymore real than that 3) i didn't have the issue he had.

What would you recommend as an alternative for putting the bolts on if you don't have a drill-press?
