Kodaikanal Malai Poondu is known for its medicinal and preservative properties due to its antioxidant and antimicrobial properties. In this video I have demonstrated how to grow garlic step step using Organic Farming methods. First we need to prepare land by ploughing and making bunds.
Fertilizer: As a base fertilizer for soil I have used Organic Manure which is mixed with soil. After adding Manure garlic seeds are planted at 10cm distance apart. Hill garlic takes 120 days to maturity.
Pest Control: to control pest I have placed stick traps in fields. By this way we can reduce the infestation of pest causing diseases to plants.
Harvest: After leaves turn yellow we can harvest Garlic. After harvesting Garlic is sundried for few days and smoked for 2-3 months. Hope you have enjoyed the video. #howtogrowgarlic #kodaikanalmalaipoondu
