@@rahulappi first of all, ganja has a lot of medicinal benefits. Yes, today people use it for other reasons. And it is not like people don't know the side effects of using these. Anything used in a limit has a lot of advantages. When you use it in excess or when you cross the limits, that is ur issue. Even a slight amount of alcohol is good for heart. People should know how and when to use these things in a good manner. For eg., inventions like mobile and computer are meant for the betterment of society but we can see a lot a people around us misusing these products for their personal benefits. So we cannot blame it on these non living products when the main problem is with the human beings who use it. God gave us brain to see, understand, analyse and accept all those events going around us. We are superior (in terms of evolution) to other organisms present on this planet with a well developed and advanced brain and we are given the ability to think and find the answers of a lot many things in the society. If we are unable to think and use things properly either we are dumb or we have a brain of a five year old, which explains ur statement. But in my opinion, humans have the ability to realise good from bad and understand the consequences of his actions in her/his own life. Blaming movies for such silly reasons is irrelevant. Yes movies do impact life but we should be intelligent enough to understand what should or shouldn't be done in this case and not the movie

I know so many people who lost their minds, lost interest in life, fell into depression and psychiatric illnesses after the indiscriminate use of Cannabis. Substance abuse is a big issue especially with our state.. Hope you know that we top in alcoholism and use of Ganja in our youngsters is increasing in a alarming rate. Subsequently Kerala tops in psychiatric illnesses related to substance abuse, data says. You say that God has given brains to discriminate and understand what is good for you and what not. Not everyone will have that capacity and will power to stay away from recreational drugs or even alcohol, if it was like that we would never had so many rehabiitation centres around to help people come out out of their addictions. Why do our laws mandate to show with every scene with smoking or drinking should have a footnote mentioning that smoking and drinking is injurious to health? Everybody knows that right, even a small child? If you closely monitor the society read newspapers and watch news in television you will know how movies influence society. I can site you so many instances where crime and unlawful activities were confessed by the perpetrators that they were inspired from the movies. Cinema, such a popular medium among masses should refrain from glorifying the use of psychotropic substances. That is what social responsibility is about.
