Trust me. They find a way, and a person to lean on. I don't understand why women (in particular) think they are not replaceable and everything will crumble without them. They do it with kids, with men, and even on the job. I am a woman and I saw my mom do it. As a result, she left this earth at 55. My 29 (at the time) year old brother, who had many women living up in my mom's house was just fine after she passed away. He just found a "momma figure" in women who he could also sleep with. He's 50 now and is living with his girlfriend of almost 15 years. She's been the primary bread winner. She wanted kids. He had already had kids, first one at 16. So he told her "no". But then brought home a kid from stepping out on her. And she's now taking care of him and the kid. Ladies, I blame you for lowing the standards. Now, when I expect something from a "man", I am looked at like I've got an eye in the middle of my head. Like I should have standards. But I won't compromise. I'm 56. And single. And childless. Because even if I couldn't have a guaranteed partner, I was damn sure going to do what I could to have a responsible co-parent. But that wasn't to be. So my career got my attention. No regrets. And when a man realizes that I'm the prize, and know how to treat a lady as a loving partner, then I might have a life partner. I hope so. But I am not holding my breath. And nor am I miserable being alone. I'm an introvert, and I enjoy my own company and my solitude. Ladies. Especially Black American ladies. Do better. Please. If not for you, do it for other ladies who have standards and don't lower the expectations so at least the men have to work. Make them build the nests. Both as your sons, and as your prospective mates.

The anger I see in the 22 year old comes from fear and his inability in his mind to move forward. Military, school, training school and off man. He lacks courage to do so.

Ms S...she doesn't have to be concerned about her safety. I am sure some of the staff are men...working the camera and such. Anyway I see so many women..or parents..esp grandparents..going through this nonsense. I would not mind a child of mine hanging around...until they felt ready to leave..esp with the way things are these days. I would encourage learning a skill..more education..etc..if I would allow this. Not bringing in..extra people..and having children etc. Also going to a trade school or not...the child would have to be working...at least part time ... If they were not serious about trying to secure their own independence...by their actions...than I will have to cut the cord. Children who play on a mother's natural affections....brcause they don't want to break a sweat...and set proper priorities..etc..would not remain under my roof.

I think one of the most important statements she made in this episode is to tell the daughter that Junior is not her husband. Ladies need to learn that a man that is not their husband is not responsible for them. Stop settling for what you are not seeking.
