I listen to Ms Iyanla on my morning walk. Every ounce of my being received this message. I was so busy trying to not be like my mom that unconsciously I did the same. My mother so wanted to not be like her mother that she did the same. I never connected the generational pattern but now that I know I have some work to do to Fix my life

This is a MUST WATCH! I had my children to watch the broadcast with me - 20 and 19 years of age. What a word! What a word! We have been in a struggle on this very topic for years. We are ready to let go! It is time to let God take this burden and for us to move on. Thank you Ms. Iyanla for your obedience in allowing the Holy Spirit to usher in this topic through you. My daughter and I are still discussing and the broadcast ended over an hour ago. Thank you so much!

Hi! Black Spanish woman, first generation, and I can testify that the fight is real. I’m embracing the good heritage and consciously breaking with the bad patterns. The best think I have done for myself and my family is getting in therapy. By working on my issues, I have created the space to have difficult and necessary conversations that is bringing healing to all of us. Do the work. It’s not easy but our ancestors did their part so we can get here and I think that this is our responsibility. Thank you Ms Iyanla

I too, am a result of an extra marital affair. I too, became a lover of married men. When I learned about generational curses, I prayed that this one be broken in the name of Jesus. My daughter told her friend that she has never seen me be with another man other than her father. I pray that it will not skip a generation but REALLY BROKEN IN FUTURE LINE.

ILLINOIS, containing to watch. Sometimes, at different times.or days. This series of Spiritual Self Spa has truly been a blessing. We dont want to always tell, what we are going through, with family, friends, associates, because we dont want to be vulnerable. I have been following you for years. These recent series are helping many. Often you address an issue, that we can't publicly express. you help us, to deal with our personal issues and with others . We also have to realize, that we cant change people,we have to either change ourselves, or stay in the same place,which is not healthy. We,also have to learn to let go of people and things, that are holding us down. we cant carry everyone's baggage,and ours all at the same time. Our shoulders are not always broad enough, to hold everyone. Family sets the foundation for our stories. many of us have had to be the yoke for many and yet our own yoke is broken. I am a senior citizen, a baby boomer. My life has been basically blessed, but I have had my share of hurts, disappointments, grief, but more joy and happiness. I am,however, dealing with a family member is breaking my heart,because of the issue, she. has; yet she will not let family help her. so we pray that she is safe,that GOD,will deliver her from what we feel are demonic spirits. Parents are blamed for many issues, but it is not always Parents, but outside forces, that get control. even in the families, that have good foundations, family members do self destruction. These are family members, who are loved, but want to reject family,because non-family people prey on them. Yes,the member is vulnerable, and weak for many reasons, but the foundation is well established. Now,naturally, there is no family, that is exempt from issues. Everyone has to work together.

Spoke to the very core of my soul people will become afraid of you changing of who they think you are 1.) self-awareness look at yourself and realize why you do what you do and how you do it 2.) take ownership of your belief system what is it what were you talk to believe in what do you really believe take ownership of the dysfunctional pattern what is consciously or unconsciously take inventory of why you do what you do or what you do 3.) Travel more when you travel you start to change those family patterns because now you are opening yourself up to new things in New ways and habits 4.) Forgiveness forgiveness forgiveness the family pattern

Iyanla, Im watching this 2 days later. My issue is that I have an issue with injustice and unfairness! I find myself repulsed by people who do wrong things to other people just bc they can. Just bc people are not strong enough or have the wherewithal to fight for themselves. People who disrespect others just make me so sick and what I do after attempts to talk to them and show them how their actions made someone else feel. I stop talking to them and I have nothing else to do with them. Then I’m accused of unforgiveness. But it’s not that I don’t forgive, forgiveness is always there and I don’t even stay angry I just take myself away because to be around them makes me feel sick inside. I do understand behavior patterns and I know it’s a real thing and I know I’ve been affected by them myself. So I never really saw anyone in my family do this but my family says I’m cold or not emotional bc I just walk away. But, Iyanla I don’t just walk away after 1 isolated incident however, if you are not willing to do your work so that other people are not being so hurt and affected by you, I don’t see a reason for me to keep being in your company.
@tomekamontegue51224 жыл бұрын
I saw an episode of Iyanla fix my life. And Iyanla was working with these sisters and their parents. The father was so ridiculous, and unwilling to participate in the process in a sensible way. And Iyanla said; “ Sometimes you just have to leave people right where you found them”! Those words were music to my ears... I started shouting! Because when I recognize that a person is unreasonable, dishonest, and uncooperative I walk away! Not even after the 1,2,3,4,even sometimes 5th attempt. I have given people years but once it starts hurting me deep inside and giving me ulcers, IM DONE WITH YA!! Blessings to all!!

I've been drawn to you and now I see why. My mother committed suicide when I was 18 mo old. She was a beautiful 27 year old woman with a career as a saleswoman and 2 beautiful children. She was a college graduate who marched in the 60's for civil rights and women's' rights. I was sold a sex slave and tortured for many years as a little girl. I never had love except from my brother who was kind of in the same boat as me. I have been on a spiritual journey ever since and felt the same as you, like I really was destined to break the pattern. But living past 27 is not enough. No, no. I want to learn to give more love. I want to achieve all my dreams and fulfill Jesus' vision for me. I want to fulfill my duty to God. So thank you, Miss Iyanla. You are a blessing.
