Thanks, nice review. I'm considering getting this. Are you sure it has a build in microphome? The hole in the upper left looks to me more like a mic input? Have you installed it without the external mic and confirmed that it still works for phone calls/SIri/Google Assistant or other voice input?

I am only interested in apple carplay. When I start my car and the radio boots up, does it start in the apple carplay overlay ? Can I listen to radio at the applecar too or do I need to go back to the android overlay ?

It can be set to automatically boot up in Apple CarPlay wirelessly and if you want to listen to radio you can go back in the menu and to radio app and set your station. But by default the audio source will be Apple CarPlay so you have to manually set the radio unless you deactivate the Apple CarPlay auto boot up function and the it’s going to use the last used audio source.

Awesome quick explaination. I got one and installed it but the external microphone does not override the internal mic when I plug it in. any ideas how to fix that?

Is this a generic rebrand? In the UK this model is not available, so is it known by another name?

I think they are all the same. They most likely come from the same chinese fabric. Some just have different designs/overlays

Sorry for my ignorance but all I need is Apple car play and Spotify to work lol. Curious if I could get by with the 1G+16G because of the price difference?
