Si LA Tenorio ang nakikita kong pwede magmentor sa Team B habang si Tim Cone focus sa Team A. Wag natin iaalis yung contingencies sa problemang dulot ng unavailablity ng players. Chemistry ba ang problema? Ang pros ng meron kang Team B na buo na na-train sa sistema ay kung di buo ang Team A, yung buong Team B ang papalit. Kung chemistry ang problema, ang solusyon ay paglaruin/training ng magkakasama bawat miyembro ng team A at team B. Next step ng continuity ay palitan si Josh Reyes ni LA Tenorio para siya ang magtuturo ng Triangle Offense sa Batang Gilas para in two or three years time di na sila mahihirapan mag-adapt sa sistema ng Mens team.

Sana may reserve si CTC kahit 3-5 players para kung di available or wag naman sana may injury eh may riserba at alam parin ang sistema ni CTC. Kagaya ngayon wala si fajardo pwede sana si Balti at kung di healthy si malonzo pwede si abando. Maganda din meron tayong naturalize player na riserba na kasama na sa program dahil mag 36 na si JB ngayon and sa 2027WC 39 na siya, medyo matanda na yung edad na yun sa basketball si fajardo 39 na din siya sa susunod na world cup kaya kung seryoso talaga sila sa long term program umpisahan na agad nila ipasok yung mga bata kagaya ni amos at kouame. I like how Coach Tim gave focus on being a great team through a system. Naalala ko yung sinabi ni Kobe that basketball players today is playing blindly. Pass! Pass! Dribble! Dribble! Whoever is open shoots! Not like then, na he reads the defense / tendencies and movements then create a play out of it. Gilas is in good hands ngayon. And sa tingin ko, eto yung Gilas na manalo / matalo magiging proud ka kasi alam mong maganda and competitive yung lalaruin.

Halos magsingtangkad pa sila ni Scottie Thompson. Chemistry-wise di na sya mahihirapan mag-adjust dahil magkakasama sila nina Kai Sotto, AJ Edu, Carl Tamayo dati. Yung playmaker na PG sana no? Yan isang problema sa Gilas. Kulang sa scorers, kaya na sacrifice na yung mga playmaking PG, at scoring PG ang kinkuha, parang si CJ. Susunod kay CJ si Winston for sure. Scorer din yun. Ang pinakamalapit na playmaker na nakita ko sa Gilas, si Chris Ross, tapos SEA games pa yun. Yung coaching talaga ang nagdadala sa playmaking ng Gilas. Nung si Coach Reyes, wala. Nung si Tim Cone, may plays talaga, kaya maayos. Si Scottie pinakamalapit na playmaker PG sa gilas. Pero minimized yung role niya kasi nga more on ball movement yung playstyle sa international. Tingin ko magiging more on scorers yung kukunin ng Gilas in the future, tas iaasa nila sa coaching yung plays.

@@jmgonzales7701 he'll be 37 in 4 years. In 4 years, jmf and Brownlee would not be playing. That would negate the purpose of keeping the team together and then 2 years down the road, retired na si Brownlee, and JMF isn't already at his physical peak. Boatwright is 28 and will be 32 in 4 years. I think Cone is not lying or deceptive. I think he just chose to cross the rubicon when the time comes. And he will. This approach gives him room to mature prospective young talents like Mason or another future discovery to be included. While the young core now will be veterans in 2-4 years. The national team of basketball in the Philippines is a hard expectation to be carried. It's virtually the de facto national sport. Filipinos want to grow the team but want to win now. Thus, we got aging but solid players for the "short" term that can act as mentors to the young core for the long term. The politically correct for Cone to say when we inject new players is not to call it a pool but reserve. So that players have set expectations already. Players like Mason could be in the reserve practicing with the team so when it's time for them to be activated in 2-3 years time, they would hit the ground running

Anyway, my observation, although we are tall in the Asian setting. We are not quick for our size. Kouame, Brownlee, AJ and CJ are quick for their size but when we compete in Europe, americas or Africa, kakainin ng buhay ibang players natin. Their players even 2-3 inches taller would be quicker than our smaller players. I would predict in 2-4 years, when we meet these higher ranked teams, our biggest weakness will be transition defense. It's not about undermining gilas. It is about seeing the issues and hoping to find ways to mitigate it. Some solution: 1. Let our NP play as locals so that FIBA can certify them as locals after some years. Especially Kouame. 2. Find an NP 6'10" and above who can play both floors and have a perimeter shot. Boatwright seems passable. 3. Find a tall and quick ball handler.

While ang africano kahit umabot ng 6'10 mabilis pa din. I think ayun ang kahinaan ng lahi natin which is yung bilis and lakas. Pag short guard natin mabilis palagi eh pero pag big men na mabagal. Kaya i think a style centered on ball movement and shooting would be beneficial.

Hindi kulang ang point guards nila as of now si cj, dcottie at newsome ang legit pointguards but remember international competition na toh so like coach tab before on what he did to dwight ramos to convett him into a legit pointguard dahil sa international stint ang mga pointguards now ay 6'5"-6'7" so we need to develop bihher pointguards like KQ and papaDwight and sa system ni CTC na triangle offense and moving defense hindi na need ang msrsming dribble and pointguards as much as possible lahst sila including the center or five position knows how yo be pointguards too like jocic and luka doncics kaya nga tinswag silangodern bigman eh

Although I understand ung reason ng pgkuha ng 12 man lng san icover din nla ung weakness ng reason, for me better sana 15 +1 man line up hindi konti hindi rin madami kng baga tama lng. 1 back up na naturalized since pde mainjured din c brown lee knock on wood at 3 local players pra kpag my na injured iyong asa 12 my papalit na alam ang system at the same time pde rin ntn ibahin iyong line up at match up depende sa kalaban ntn. For me having enough extra 3 or 4 guys is not bad kz it also promotes versality, options at comepetition sa mga players. Mas ok kz na kpag my na injured sa 12 man line up hindi kukuha ng baguhan na player na hindi familiar sa systema.

Isa sa concerns ko sa kawalan ng pool ay yung edad at history ng injuries ng players. JMF is 34, while Brownleeis 35, do we expect them to still be competitive in 2 years time? Also, butas tayo sa defensive big, doon sana natin kailangan si Ange. If seryoso talaga ang SBP, simulan na nila magfile ng exemption para makalaro as local si Ange.

Ganitong contents talaga naeexplain 'yung vision ng Gilas. Di 'yung ibang content creator na naghahanap ng kung ano ano. Kesyo need ng shooter, true point guard, aging yung ibang players. This core group will achieve greater heights for sure. Sino man madagdag na players moving forward, magiging madali na ang transition kasi established na Tayo. SEA Games and Asian Games lang naman maaapektuhan dito in which we can field 2 Naturalized player. Hopefully matuloy 'yung plan to get at least 2 to 3 Naturalized players aside from JB and Ange that we can use sa unsanctioned tournaments ng FIBA. And hopefully, during B League breaks eh meron pa ring practice Gilas kahit 2 to 3 weeks para mas mabuo agad chemistry ng players.

Hindi naman necessarily vanilla/pure triangle offense, kundi yung concepts nun. And ngayon nagagawa na nila coach Tim na yung triangle offense ay magflow into modern offenses (5-out formation, empty side pick and roll, pistol action, zoom action, Miami action, Chicago action, etc.)
