Sino si Billy Manzano?? Ano alam niya sa basketball? Siguro nakakapanood siya. Ano alam niya sa pagpapatakbo ng team? NakapgCoach nb siya ng malaking team? Manager or executive ba siya ng International team? Well kung analization niya accepted. 1. Kukuha ng Int'l Coach. Yes kakayanin naman siguro ng SBP gagastos ng milyon milyon. Pero after o sakali magFail o maPirate kasi mas makatanggap ng malaking offer. Edi alis na bagong coach. Panibagong setUp at training nanamn at bagong system o play style para maka sabay nanamn mga bagong set of players. Nga pala ano ambag niya sa SBP o sa team para makapagBayad ng bigating Coach 2. Euro System. Siguro hindi kasing galing ng ibang dominant basketball countries ang Philippines pero medyo sablay ang game plays kasi medyo luma na para sa iba. Pero kung titingnan mabuti sa mga past games nila nagkakaroon ng adjustments at may kopya silang plays sa ibang coaches. Imposible naman na hindi nila naisip yun. Syempre mas matalino sila kaysa kay Billy Manzano. 3. Hindi makukuha ang malakas na team sa loob ng 3 - 4 weeks. Ito yung sinasabi noon na "process" kaya nga siguro ang target nila 3 - 4 Years ang core. Para mas matatag at makuha lahat ng plays makasabay sa adjustments. 4. Duda o hindi bilib sa Players well siguro sadyang sila ang available para sa ngayon. Kung magkakaroon man ng Changes at least iilan ang mapapalitan at ilan ay alam na ang sistema Maari mawala si CTC sa team lalo na kapag naBash na siya ng mga Pinoy nawalang bilib o tiwala sa kanya. Mga Pinoy na walang ginawa at pinaglihi sa sama ng loob, ugali at pinakain ng sinumpang prutas ng kasamaan. Puro tayo dapat eto. Dapat ganito. Well, actually he's got a point. But only if the international coach is Tab Baldwin since he's proven that he can do the best job in handling Gilas. Pero other international coaches I'm not sure maybe mas okay na si Tim Cone. But Tab Baldwin is a proven international coach with a resume that even Tim Cone doesn't have. Sure Tim Cone is 25-time PBA champion, with a 2 Asian games medals and 1SEA games medal. Meanwhile, you have Tab who has coached international teams for many years and brought New Zealand to the highest finish (4th place) in their country's history in the World Cup. Managed to be competitive with a " batang" Gilas lineup vs strong international teams without relying on a naturalized player to take on the bulk of the scoring load. The best candidate for the Gilas coaching job is still TAB BALDWIN. But since ayaw talaga ng powers that be sa kanya. It's our loss. But Tim's the best we can have right now. And he's a great coach. It's just that bakit pa natin papahirapan sarili natin and not take the best man for the job.

Have to agree with this. Both coaches are similar in approach and it's evident. I think the bias comes from people being hyped by the fact that coach Tab beat international teams with a team that's mostly college players. Pero yun nga lang si coach Tab kasi very straightforward and it comes off as arrogant for most ng management. It would have been kung we had both of them. One manages the entire program and the other runs the team. We still need a lot of improvement in terms of developing players from all parts of the country. So many untapped potential waiting to be moulded. If God willing sana, may true national collegiate tournament to develop the talent even further. The same goes for the league. Kinda hard for people to relate to brands than say your own home town or province. Nonetheless, I'm hopeful for this current team we have right now.

Mahina naman mga nakalaban ng gilas sa Asian games china tinalo na natin nung kay Chot Reyes palang. Un nga lang panalo natin nung Fiba World eh. Ilang naturalize ba ang meron satin sa Asian Games? Ok pa kung any Fiba games like Fiba Asia eh. Ang mga Fiba games 1 naturalized player lang pwde at mas malalakas na teams pa. Sa Asian games wala pa si Zuo Qi dun tska Kyle Aderson na tinalo natin sa Fiba nung kay Chot plang na may Kyle Anderson pero wala parin Zhou Qi.

Discipline build good habits. And good habits make you a successful person. Typical for a hater para hindi makita yung pagtiyatiyaga ni Tim Cone to instill good habits sa players ng Ginebra through the triangle. Puro kangkong lng nsa isip nga mga haters while Tim Cone is planting and instilling the right mindset and habits that makes a champion team/player. Kaya hindi makamove on yang mga yan kc puro focus sila s kangkong, ngaung nagch2ampion na Ginebra, naghanap n sila ng ibang dahilan kesyo pinagkukukuha n nila yung magagaling. Yes. Why not a fresh face with a fresh perspective. Although Cone is a great coach his experience is mostly in the PBA. As Tab said, Philippine basketball is insular. It's difficult to effect changes since we are set in our ways. So our development is going to be slower vs more progressive thinking countries. Oh well. Still, Tim Cone at least is a great coach and is a logical thinker.

Tim and Tab rely more in the system...the only difference is triangle have more options in terms of offensive plays...that is why no one use this plays anymore in nba due to complexity of the play generated that need to be read in every set option.....hopefully it works wonders with our Philippine team...

kung tutuusin nga pareho lang si coach baldwin at coach cone system wise but ang main difference nila is how to pick local and naturalized/imports tab baldwin is good at discovering young and unheard local talents most of them are players that we can't live without like ramos sotto etc etc but in terms of international players to perfectly assist a team tim come has been doing it from b-meg to ginebra era all his import selections are the main reason why his teams got into the finals or even became champion for multiple times so that's why in my opinion we both need tab and tim

kala mo lang yun. hanggang June 22 lang ang agreement between PBA and SBP. after that, all PBA players will go back to their motherclubs. because of that, Gilas will miss a chance to have a pocket tournament in Lithuania against Lithuania, Belgium and Cameroon, all will play in the OQT.
